This is peak writing. I love this manga why am I ready this now??!! It's way ahead of its time. It would have been difficult to accept their love if the author didn't take away from Shuri. He lost his arm and bled, just like how the real Tatara was. It wasn't as bad as being beheaded, but the way the story progressed and at that point the readers could already forgive him even the female lead. But the author is so good at writing that you get to understand why Shuri lost his arm. It's really peak writing! For some reason I felt satisfied. He lost just as much as he took away from Tatara. I love this so much. Sad Taro died though :(((

The only thing I'm confused about, is how come she's the only one who couldn't see his face in the beginning? If he's an entity that can alter then world and it's existence, why can't his face appear to her? She lives in the world he can reshape and rebuild, which means she can be altered as well (explains the reviving). But I just don't get the face thing, why is she different?
In the past, it was thanks to him having both telepathic and reality-warping powers that he was able to keep his cover (by making humans see the illusion of his human face) while he was free to indulge in his reality-warping hobby of transforming his head into whatever he wanted, to pass the time (which was probably out of boredom). But the illusion aspect didn't work on her. ...I think he has BOTH telepathic mind control power (to force humans to see illusions, something that isn't there) and reality warping power (to change what is actually there, on a phsyical level, and not just visual illusions): and it's his telepathic power that doesn't work fully with her.

Yep, since he can't use his telepathic illusions on her, he actually transforms his appaerance on a physical level, physically adopting whatever appearance he wants her to see at any time, depending on his mood he is at the time: whether he's in the mood to take the piss (as in, to secretly screw with her), or whether he's in the mood to woo and seduce her (which he can only do with a human face). Whenever he's in the mood of wanting to mess with her, he changes his head into flowers or tentacles, etc, and tells her it's only her damaged brain playing visual tricks on her; whenever he wants to keep her attracted and woo her, he adopts that handsome male human face to show her, and makes her think she's only seeing his "real" face because her brain is going through one of its rare moments of being "lucid". ...The clue to this is how she can still smell the flowers' aroma when he has his flower bouquet face: he made her think it was her brain playing visual tricks on her, when he was in fact taking the piss, having transformed his head into an actual bouquet of (smelly) flowers.
