I know everyone has an issue with him saying that "if i was single" line and i would never stand for that in my relationship either but honestly in his position i would have said the same. neither party was trying to express genuine interest, and he made that pretty clear on his end too. it was obvious he was only saying that in response to hibiya's extremely low self esteem, and he was just trying to tell him that despite all the insecurities he has because of his previous relarionship, he is a catch through and through. relationships are more nuanced than these set of rules that are supposed to be followed to the t regardless of the situation. tho him staying over was a gigantic misstep in the first place lmao there was no need for that and he should have realised how it would affect his man A LOT SOONER. he really got off easy for that shit ngl
