You make a good point (⌒▽⌒) to clarify what is meant by Taku being manipulative, the whole 'i'm a guy who admits myself to having a history of treating lovers as disposable and never caring about them, i'm gonna go after a guy who clearly is emotionally unavailable and intentionally antagonize joowon, i'll beg and plead for him to go out with me because that's totally not coercive when i know he's already feeling emotionally low, and where joowon changes and matures to stop upsetting haesoo i'm instead going to intentionally play with haesoo's feelings because i like messing with him and seeing his reactions, but oh boo hoo i "loved" him so much more'
personally he's always felt super sly and shady, especially seeing how he wedged himself between joowon and haesoo in such an opportunistic way, when his intentions at the start were to ditch haesoo when he had to go back to japan.
frankly, even after all these chapters, i still feel like he doesn't even truly understand how to love, haesoo is just one of his many temporary obsessions. that's just the vibe i get (￣∇￣")

I find it worrying that it must be explained why Taku is manipulative lmao It causes me a lot of conflict because for me it's very obvious. The story is screaming it in my face and the fact that to this day there are still people who believe that Taku is not toxic makes me go (⊙…⊙ ). I feel that you explained in a sarcistically and excellent way (lol) why Taku is manipulative but I want to add the aspect of his insistence on the relationship ... The motor of this was not even because of his supposed love for Haesoo, it was literally out of envy. Taku wanted to feel just as special as Joowon is to Haesoo, he wanted to fill the void that the other left. He put himself as the replacement like wtf I also don't understand how deep is his "love" for Haesoo but I think that in the most recent chapter it's revealed that Taku loves the Haesoo who is in love with Joowon and honestly, that makes sense (kinda need the official translations for that part)

I applaud that he gave up and he will accept Haesoo leaving him, it was not only the best for hin, but also for Taku. That was an okay development :/

Yeah, it makes me worry as well. It's one thing if people are like 'he's toxic but i like him anyways' because, well, mood, i have characters i like even knowing they're awful. But for people to genuinely not realize how crappy he is... like, i worry about their safety IRL. Don't get into a relationship with someone who treats you like that, it's not okay (￣∇￣")
The insistence is definitely uncomfortable, and the whole "you can use me" aspect made him seem uninterested, as if this is just a fun game for him to play, rather than desperately in love.
Taku's envy is even more obvious when you consider the entitled ~mysterious artsy boy~ personality and history he has. He's a 'special/genius' artist/photographer who's had people wanting to be with him forever, and now this attractive artist/writer is not falling all over him because of another mysterious talented artist/actor/joowon? For someone who admits himself to having a personality like a bird attracted to the newest, shiniest things, yeah no wonder he fell in "love" lol.

((this is from the spoilers, ignore if you don't want to know! i read that he didn't even 'give up' gracefully, he apparently tries to self-victimize and then breaks up with haesoo first because he doesn't want to lose. if that's true then i don't even know if this is good character development lol he still seems to be very petty. in either case, I hope to see Taku get humbled and learn to properly love without wanting to play mindgames, or pressure others into relationships they're clearly not interested in, or date them out of petty envy as a whole lol))

Lmaooo what is this rant?? So embarrassing lol. 'Taku fell in love'. No he didn't, he found a new prey and object of fixation that's what he did. And no that's not a gross slander of his actions it's been made clear in the story that he had a history of treating his past lovers like playthings and even in the latest raws chapter it was shown how his obsession with Haesoo is analogized with his past failure to get the sweets he craved for as a child.
And deny it all you want but Taku MOST DEFINITELY had manipulated Haesoo throughout the story, there had been many instances when he did so most notably when he pressured him into a relationship despite his unwillingness. And just before that he even admitted how he had initially planned on guilt tripping Haesoo for that relationship and yall still COULDN'T SEE THAT BLANTANT MANIPULATION. Taku had EXHIBITED acts after acts of manipulation and yall couldnt see any of it. And even more concerningly here you are romanticizing and trying to justify said manipulation as innocent acts of 'love'.
Taku literally told Haesoo he could use him and that he'd prefer it that way and Haesoo did so so in the end Taku made a clown of himself, that's what happened. He doesn't deserve anything better than the pain he's feeling. He reaped what he sowed what's happening to him is sweet karma and we're cheering to that.
