Can we stop normalizing abuse and manipulation as love in the relationship? Like generally? This author isn’t cooking they are BURNING it.

Agree this was not romantic, I think most of us felt that way, like we got the message it's not romantic. Additionally, the way it's framed in the story itself is not an attempt to cover up the horror and make it sweet, it actively shows how sick literally this made him; he wasn't swooning he was dying. And the end doesn't feel happy it's just left me like

Yeah. The first read, I remember being annoyed but resigned later on because I do see it for the best. If Seoyo was told that it's Narye after all, trauma will him harder than a truck.
We don't want that. He's suffered for 9 lifetimes and this one he's finally healing from it. Narye is a terrible man and there's nothing good about him, however, in this life he has began dialing down his onession and played the long game. He still pulled the crap he did, but Seoyo doesn't know.
Ad they say; ignorance is bliss. He seems at peace and that's what we want.
I’m confused about the whole plot but never back down never give up yk.
