It's not incest. Why do webtoons love incest? Well, I wonder why people love saying things without knowing the definition of the word. This is not incest, you may feel uncomfortable but it's not considered incest.

Hmm. I think it’s more like why have a story where it’s gray area of incest in the first place. The fact is step-siblings are siblings. In a different context like the real world. I would count step siblings as incest. Blood relations or not.
There’s been incest in story telling since the beginning of our species. And I have seen a lot of WEBTOON or manga with clear cut incest.
However in this case I’m willing to suspend my “common sense” for the sake of story. Especially sense she is in the body of his dead stepsister. Besides incest is present in all sorts stories. Game of thrones? People still binge watched it.
I think it’s important to realize the difference between the crime of incest and incest as story conflict. That said just like watching a rape scene or murder scene... is it wrong to watch that movie? What about serial killer movies, is it wrong to watch those? Simply put, reading about step siblings with sexual feelings towards each other isn’t wrong just like reading about murder isn’t wrong. It’s a matter of is it interesting to read about. For me this story is very interesting. Although I couldn’t watch game of thrones because of graphics rape and incest. It was too in my face to see it as merely interesting story, but that’s a matter of taste.

Your definition can be correct too but according to family law in the US as long as you are not blood related it is not incest and you are allowed to marry even if you are bined by law through paperwork (like adoption).

So whether it's incest or not is debatable especially when these two haven't even grown up together as a siblings. According to my definition this is not incest nor is it illegal but there are different definitions and perspectives.

But you are right this is a good story, so it doesn't really matter.

I agree I don’t really think this story really qualifies for the incest tag. Which why I’m personally ok reading it. But I do want to say that my whole point is that a story about incest isn’t a wrong in general. In less it’s encouraging incest to be practiced in the reader’s lives. Personally I can’t stand rape or incest scenes in fiction or tv. But I also think it’s wrong to make things taboo. Because making incest taboo hurts victims of incest because the stigma of talking about the taboo helps abusers silence their victims cries for help. Having incest and rape appear in fiction can be comforting to victims because it lets them indirectly speculate on how the public view those issues before talking to maybe a therapist or friend or the police. Having no fiction about it exploring the different levels of wrong and their impact is isolating. Sure self help information is best here but before a victim admits the need to identify something is wrong from a outside position. Anyway my point is fiction is fiction no matter the subject. Don’t like don’t read. Simple as that. Especially when this is illegal scanning site. .. where do this weirdos get off complaining about morals while breaking the law?

Well that's wrong. Personally, I'm 20 and like it was well said in this thread, it might be incest but it might not be one.

And in all honesty, we can't say it's incest because, yes, as said, they didn't grew up together, they never saw each other as sister-brother, they aren't blood related. If we follow this, then best friends can't be in a relationship since this will be count as incest. Because most of best friends grew up together, has seen each other as siblings at some point. So that should be wrong of them to be in a love relationship.
And from the first chapter, it's quite easy to see how there is a romantic tension between them. Even the knights can sense it. The Author and the Artist never showed us a real siblings act since from the debut, they showed us the light attraction between them.
So now I don't understand how can people argue about incest in this story.
