The SA while he was asleep (I had hope cause he stopped the penetration when he said it hurt but no, this guy is disgusting), the straight up rape while he was awake, not that being asleep makes it better but he was begging him so he can’t even pretend to have some illusion of consent, killing people for no reason, the Ml blaming himself for not saying no harder?? Or somehow thinking he lead him on. I don’t understand, this was so disgusting I was physically cringing and holding my breath, I skipped past the first two rape scenes hoping to see him kill this guy or run away and I couldn’t take it anymore, only to come to the comments of people praising it and essentially saying he doesn’t end up getting away from him. I’ve read stories with SA and obsession but this isn’t it, this is just gross. There is no love, this is only defilement. You’re all foul beings.
Honestly, I could not agree more with your opinion. I have read quite a few rapey stories within these past couple of years as I feel, they have gained a lot more popularity and this is the only one that I ever read was truly disgusted with to the point that I stopped reading. around chapter 16 or 17 I just jump straight to chapter 30 to see if he was gonna kill him or something because this character seems the most miserable of any character I have ever read about. I’ve never been so mad reading a story before to the point that I’m like yeah I can’t read this anymore. Mind you this is the first time that I have ever felt this way about any story I have read and I’ve been reading stories for over a decade.
People talking about how this is a great enemies to lovers have some screws loose. Even if we ignore the enemy bit, this wasn’t even a good progression to lovers, she forgave him pretty much instantly and started caring about him. It happened so fast that I feel next to zero chemistry. Literally any other “my husband was an asshole and killed me/ made me kill myself” is better than this. Nothing is “peak” about it.
It’s not like he didn’t remember killing her each life, he was actively hunting her down. Insisted she would never get away, it ain’t even like those other stories where it just turns out he was going to scare her or something, dawg was slashing through her. Saw her actively getting abused in one life, felt 1% sorry for her and decided to hack into her anyways. Also she never fights back, not one of her lives is she ready waiting to hurt him, she tries to run away every single time and he still hates her. When he catches on to the rebirth thing (which is immediately) he lives his lives out waiting to kill her. People that defend him, saying he’s essentially not progressing mentally past that of a child, do children not have empathy??!! How does this excuse hunting people down and killing them? He actually lives longer than three seconds each time so he’s got some time to think about things. He’s just an A**hole. He sees her pathetic situation each time he kill her, and decides to do it again anyways.
Also, as I mentioned he remembers every single time, and realises when she’s working to gain his favour and avoid death and he actively works against that. Tells her essentially that no matter what she does it’s not going to change anything and he’s going to kill her anyways. How do you see someone fighting for their life and it mean nothing to you?? He understood how horrible it felt when his entire family had to die for absolutely no reason, because it meant nothing to her father, so how can he kill her and not see that he’s doing the exact same thing except worse?
Another thing that just doesn’t make sense, is she said she can’t remember exactly how it feels to die, but she remembers every moment leading up to it, the fear of being chased for like 10 years, living every moment in absolute terror, and being resigned to the fact that all her actions and efforts are futile. One of her lives she has a mental breakdown because of it. Then the very next one she’s feeding him medicine and tending to him. Like how are you not screaming at the sight of him and losing your marbles, even after doing that he still doesn’t care. Not even in the next life either I believe. She already thinks of him pretty favourably and then the major tipping point is him punching a wolf for her then she has next to no distrust or ill thoughts about him
Tbf nobody asked for your comment either. But considering this is a forum, we can post and reply to anything you want. There is no reason to be so hostile towards other people's opinions. If you really disliked the flow and plot of this story that much, you surely would have moved on to a different book already. Also, its a work of fiction. Fantasy fiction. You're taking it too seriously.
You got some valid criticism but this isn't ennemie to lovers at best you could call it ennemie to friends to lovers but even there this story is more of a reskin of the " reincarnated as the wife of the murderous duke/prince or whatever" where the Fl have to befriend the ml if you see it as some glorious ennemie to lovers you'll be disappointed. And I'm 80% the story is inspired by Villainous Husband, the One You’re Obsessed With is Over There is some way
I believe that maintaining a outlook is important, but sometimes it can come off as negative and unnecessary, especially when one criticizes others' preferences. If you find yourself not enjoying a particular story, my suggestion is to simply stop reading it and seek out content that aligns more with your tastes instead. It's unproductive to disparage what others appreciate.
I understand that I could have chosen not to comment, just as I’m advising you to ignore this story if it does not resonate with you. However, it’s deeply frustrating to think that creators—who pour so much time and effort into their work—might come across comments like this and feel as though their dedication and hard work have been dismissed or devalued. Every piece of art or storytelling deserves a fair chance, and while we’re all entitled to our opinions, it’s essential to remember the impact our words can have on those who passionately create. Let’s focus on uplifting the community rather than tearing it down.
I posted it so other people could read it and use it gauge whether they wanted to invest their time too. Is that not what other people did as well by saying it’s “peak”? It’s a review?? I don’t have a gun to their head saying “don’t read it”, if they decide that the things I thought were dumb, aren’t, then they can just read it??? I don’t remember personally coming for the author either. Sorry if it hurts them, but those things didn’t make sense to me so I’m airing it out. Must every review be positive.
I skipped till the end after seeing that duke or whatever telling him to go find her in the palace. Like damn, leave her alone. From what I can see, they’re on good terms somehow, which makes no sense considering he nearly killed her and she lost years of her life in a coma. Then she wasted another 10 years or whatever looking for Hansel and Gretel. Living stressed out and spending all her money! Because of him!!! Oh, and he literally had her on the run, living in hiding and fearing for her life!
They lied about him being dead because of his “good deeds”, I can’t imagine what would excuse what he did to the main character, and that fairy he killed for literally no reason. He killed her and had someone else just hide her body. He treated her like garbage. Also, that time he was mad that he didn’t break Hansel’s wrists??? A child?
They need to look at the authors internet history or something, some really questionable morals (or lack of morals). The beginning where they treated a 13 year old’s infatuation towards a full ADULT like it was normal, was a hard read too. Setting up a whole romance with someone she admitted to practically raising??? Also how was he taller than her at 13?? Is she like 130cm or???
So many things just don’t make sense, like she honestly didn’t seem too interested in staying with them after spending Years looking for them. Guess they’re adults now but like ??? She barely asked about Gretel, if at at all. Even tho she still hadn’t seen her.
Anyways, I guess I’ve seen plenty of other stories somehow turnaround whole criminals, so maybe somehow it makes sense that they forgive him. Personally, I think I lost brain cells reading this and I hope that white haired dude gets punished.
(=・ω・=)
                                                The stuff you skipped:
He’s actually a half-breed of a human dad and a fairy mother. When his dad died, the Duke of lanshua ended up finding out his mother was a witch. He threatened to tell the officials about his mother if he didn’t cast a spell of obedience on himself.
So, he ended up basically being a slave to the Duke of lanshua. Including killing witches(which he apparently didn’t actually like(but the way he acted when he was hunting yielle was… whatever I guess. That’s how the story goes.)
Anyway, he wanted to get help from yielle to destroy the Duke of lanshua so he can have his freedom. He actually had the antidote to the poison on him and he was gonna administer it after shooting her down. However, he didn’t expect her to fall into the sea.(though idk why he wanted her help at that time since he didn’t know about Hansel nor about yielle’s birth parents. But again, whatever.)
Also, about the fairy, apparently he didn’t actually kill her. He killed the human shell of the fairy and then took the fairy to the fairy queen to get her treated for the poison cause the antidote he had was too strong for the fairy. Taking her to the fairy queen meant that she was too far away to keep up with the baiter for the curse, and that’s why the sleeping beauty curse happened. She’s alive rn.
He also ends up helping rohan(the half-breed baker that rose introduces them to) and also mother hotel and rapunzel, by housing them in a safe place.
He also admits that he’s committed heinous acts, even if it was under the orders of the duke, and he’ll always have that blood on his hands. So, neither he nor mc are trying to write it off.
He definitely annoyed me but he gets a slight redemption mid way through the story. There are some parts that make no sense(especially how he behaved during the first part of the story. He looked like he REALLY enjoyed witch hunting), but all in all, worked well enough imo.
Still won’t forgive what he did to Hansel’s hand tho lol
(When they learned about his past, they weren’t ready to forgive him btw. They just agreed to work with him and then punish him afterwards. However, he ends up being a big help in catching the Duke, so they decided to just have him be dead on record)
I was pretty into the first 30 chapters but as soon as the emperor got weirdly obsessed with her, I feel like the writing went downhill. Like all of sudden dawg is constantly on his knees for her? And what’s that weird stuff about her smell? He was also supposed to have some deeply rooted complex around his mother, which is why he was so into that blonde girl, and then he was just over her?? He let her go a little too quickly, considering how he was speaking to the MC. Didn’t really make sense to me. His whole character just felt like someone wrote him in five minutes. The power dynamics didn’t really make sense either. The whole thing is just poorly written. I don’t usually write stuff like this, but y’all have some overwhelming positive things to say about this story.
I have to agree it had potential but the characters doesn't have much depth, or maybe they do but it wasn't delivered the way it needed to be? But that's just how most of these type of manhwas unfortunately are, only a few ones out there are truly neatly written and presented. To me these are the type of stories you read passively but it doesn't rly stick to you it's not bad but it's not memorable either
I like me some red flags but the seme is a straight manipulative SAr. One of my credentials is that I kinda like Palace Of Bardo… dawg got the main dude addicted to drugs, broke his feet or something and had him wanting to commit sudoku just so he could get away from him. Don’t doubt me when I say I like red flags, this guy ain’t it. He’s just a disgusting criminal.
His forceful behaviour makes my skin crawl, and that was before they “slept” (actually looks more like SA to me) together. I thought he might magically be more gentle after (usual story logic). No, he threatens him with a knife.
The main dude is so scared of him that he trembles in his presence, yet as soon as he kisses him he’s suddenly fine??!?! The main dude is an idiot. I think I genuinely lost brain cells reading this. This isn’t even like, hot possessiveness that stems from deep desire, the Seme treats him like a thing. He knows he’s scared but he forces him anyways. Really awful read, I know y’all will do it anyways, but hopefully afterwards, you’ll find my comment and feel a little less alone in your frustration.
I feel like they never explained how she came back to life . I also don’t remember her ever discussing with the main dude that she had previously died and that HE had died. It’s like the author completely forgot. Or maybe there’s extras that I haven’t read...? Someone please tell me. I think it would have made him super angry to find out she died once and that they didn’t previously end up together. I would have liked to have read a scene like that...

I think his inner thoughts and the way he speaks to her for the first 60+ chapters is pretty rude. Like he gets annoyed at her for being meek and having low self esteem. You literally did a background check on her, so you know she’s been used (for her body too) for like the last ten years of her life, and her failing the test to become a cleric clearly really impacted her view on abilities and self worth. So yeah, she’s gonna be a little self depreciating
