From what I vaguely remember from the novel that I think “technically” they were into each other in the first life too, but with all the misunderstandings and bad relationships it just didn’t happen because neither realized that the other liked each other so she ended up with someone else and so did he. (Though it’s been hinted at with the fact that she said that they use to hold hands in silence in her first life time) But due to all the misunderstandings being cleared up and the better relationship that they have Eugene becomes end game
At the start I figured it’d be him but then at the same time I thought it’d maybe be like “Death Is the Only Ending for The Villainess.” Or “Lady Baby”Where you think it could be one person because of how the relationship progresses And how frequently that person appears but then the real LI shows up later on. However this story goes the brother route
