I read some korean review of the novel and apparently by the second half of the novel the ml is drowning in regret and does quite a lot of grovelling. At least that's what I understood from the translation. They also said that his character was not THAT bad, but they didn't go into detail. Take it with a grain of salt, I don't speak korean so idk
But is the duke the one she will end up with? Or will there be another man?
It's the duke, her husband, who btw it's the youngest son of the emperor if that wasn't clear from the translated chapters

Maybe it's because all the chinese MLs that I've read so far were kinda human trash, but I really like this ML, I see everyone bashing him so I feel kinda bad for rooting for him, but I am.
I am so dissapointed. I skimmed through the raws and you can see a substantial drop in tge art quality. I actually liked the story, but the drop in art quality is so bad, I don't think I'll continue.

This is really givin me anxiety. I tell myself to wait until there are more ch but I can't help myself T.T
The dad is literally a pice of sh*t, he makes my stomach turn upside down. Y'all can call me a softie, but it's this kind of perverse abuse that really turns me away from some mangas even though I know they're just works of fiction. I mean, in some works they are bearable and interesting to read, but this isn't one of them.
The duke hasn't been cheating, even thou he didn't love her he stayed faithful, he is only pretending to be a gigolo so he can sleep with her because of his stupid pride. I actually didn't think it was that hard to understand this
