As cute as their father-daughter bond is, the story has gotten stale for me. Yeondu is now a strange facsimile of a child. She too perfect: never messy, angry, or upset for long (which people often see as "being bad" rather than a normal part of children learning to process emotions and new ideas), always sweet and goes along with anything. No tantrums in the grocery store or refusal to eat certain foods (except for once where she was instantly pacified.) Now there's no tension or conflict left with all their family drama settled.
I'm also uncomfortable with him vlogging so much of her life. I know this is a fantasy world where all comments are nice and there are no stalkers or perverts following her online, but it's really turned into a business where he earns money from her. Her self esteem is fine and they could stop vlogging now, I don't think Yeondu would care. Let her experience things without it being posted online for strangers! I object to family vlogging of children in real life but I tried to ignore it for this story assuming it would be temporary.
Now the focus isn't even on them bonding and Yeondu overcoming her trauma and exploring the world with trust and curiosity. It's all the YouTube business and subscribers and whether her dad will romance one of the women in his life. It's just boring for me now and I feel like the last twenty chapter I skimmed as nothing interesting is happening anyway. I caught myself putting off reading rather than leaping on updates, and realized the story is over for me.
This is just my opinion, not bagging on anyone still enjoying the story. Just disappointed at the direction it's taken.
