i feel like ppl are taking this way out of proportion. you gotta remember that the whole fated mate thing isn't pedophilic but simply destiny. ofc there's gonna be a huge age gap bc the dude's been alive for centuries, & it's not like he groomed the kid to become his. destiny was already set in motion when the uke was brought into this world. this is a whole different concept in contrast to child brides getting married off to old creeps. not to mention, he's willing to wait until the child is of age. can't get any better than that lol.
