I'm a little disappointed for Remi's reason for loving angel
I mean, Emi's goal was for Remi to be happy, but instead Remi got a little too obsessed with Emi and being like Emi would have liked her to be. In which point is she truly herself?
I can only hope that the epilogue where Emi has finally started a new life in that universe, is when Remi feels like she can be herself...
It makes me sad that Remi seems to have lost herself and preferred to be an ideal before showing her real personality, because that's what made Emi love her in the first place! ┗( T﹏T )┛

Unfortunately, that doesn't happen in the novel. The romance is basically nonexistent, or exists only in Angel's head. Made it a really disappointing read. ╥﹏╥
Remelia remains a hardworking lady that Angel constantly simps for, and her favorite will always remain Emi. There's even a scene where Angel gets jealous because Remelia loves Emi so much he rarely gets a chance to hold Emi. At least he has their son. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

Manga and novel are pretty comparable, if we're just talking her relationship with Angel. I can't recall anything being added on either side.
It's just that since the novel is primarily from Remelia's POV, Angel is just an attractive guy that's in love with her. She only likes him because he never betrayed Emi, and Emi was sympathetic towards him in the game, so...no romance at all. ╥﹏╥
You get all that in the manga, too, just not quite as explicitly, and there's a bonus of pretty pictures. But the manga just cut out my favorite scene of the novel (Remelia's son), so I'd say that reading the novel is worth it for just the last two chapters. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
That was... Actually hot...
