It was him who made seth marry nephyths since he was very anxious abt keeping seth close to him by any means. In his previous monologue he talks abt how much he hates sand. Always slipping away so easily from his fingers and boundless untrappable. Seth who was like the sand. his heart Always beyond the horizon and dunes as if he wants to leave far far away" because of this sentiment osiris started wars n shackled seth as god of war to make him duty bound n fight at their Borders. Then he made him marry neph to keep him within the realm of harmony n close beside him XD. Yep he wanted to use mirror on seth cuz he was getting jealous of his own arrangements esp how happily married sethneph were lololol.
Also them being past lovers is a lesser vague possibility than seth X HTE past relationship possibility. Its bleak but lets hold on hope.

It feels like the auhor left too much to the reader's imagination and so the story doesn't feel complete!
At the end, I could see the author running out of ideas and wanting to end the comic by checking little boxes like: "Wait they need to promise each other they'll marry!" "Wait, I suddenly remember that the ML was kind of a stalker, wow, I forgot middle story, I'll have to make the protagonist notice and then forgive them quickly!" "Wait, I also remember that somewhere in my notes one of his friends is in love with MC!!! Who was it?... Oh, I'll just add it at the very end anyways, despite having not given a single hint about his feelings on the curse of the whole 30 episodes!"
