I wouldn’t place as much importance on the fact that it’s “spin off” as ur doing! For one, there’s just no sense of discontinuity between the 2 parts… it’s in the main part that she says that she will wait for them right ? So in that sense, the “spin offs” just feel like a leap forward in time, not a parallel universe or whatever. They’re completely compatible w each other & it’s not like we get the sense that they r now acting out of character. I think the main thing tho is that the manhwa is based off of a light novel, & in the novel they also end up together. So it’s just straight up part of the original story. The only thing ur really going off of to say that these post-main-story chapters r not canon is what they’re being called, right ?
