Was not expecting the boss to be happy to share his wife. Was there a mid translation or something? Seemed like she was more like a concubine or hostess. From my knowledge of ancient China, the men didn’t share their wives. Big no no. Especially not so openly. However, in regards to concubines, especially if they were of low status, they would sometimes discretely share them as pleasure tools. Though using hostesses/entertainers or maids seemed to be more common to use for that purpose.
This is set in Japan, not China. (Samurai was a class only in Japan) and sex was not a hang up for them and people are people when it comes to sex no matter the time period. There were wife swappers and sexually open marriages then and now, etc.
Is there a translated version of this in novel format? Wasnt able to find anything based on this title.
