Inwoo is right. I've seen the "but she's your mother" argument so many times IRL, directed at my friends with toxic moms who have gone no contact and it's a crazy thing to say. And I'm saying this as a mother myself. A mother who abandons their child to an abusive parent doesn't deserve forgiveness.
