...and the locations being translated from chinese to korean to english just makes it even more confusing (not the translator's fault).
I just realized that the mountain range they were staying in seems to be the wudang mountains in central-southern china, not somewhere in korea like I originally thought because of the twice-localized location names. but it still wouldn't make sense why they keep mentioning provinces like xinjiang and liaoning that take a full month at minimum to walk/ride to like they're just a stone's throw away. there was another korean bl wuxia comic that did this (called bad friend i think?), but they gave a better sense of time and scale when they had to travel like 5,000 miles for something.
in this comic, traveling feels like they have access to high speed rail or a boeing 747 or something???

its a short shounen ai/yaoi manga where some sorcerer dude wants the ML to have the best life possible. so he uses all of his overpowered skills to make sure he succeeds and marries the princess. but during the proposal, the ML suddenly reveals his feelings to the sorcerer and they run away. happily ever after or whatever. i can't find it no matter what and reading "My Loyal and Affectionate Shadow Wizard is Being Naughty" reminded me of it.
too bad the dukes name is the same as my boss'....aint no way i can take this seriously after that
Maybe read it with a different pronunciation? In my country we have both Micheal (my-kol) and Mikael (mee-kah-ehl).
unfortunately I can't think of it that way, his name is spelled exactly the same as my boss letter for letter and even the 'nickname' the MC gave him is the same as the nickname my boss uses
thank you for trying to help me with this tough
maybe you are in the novel
