I read some of the novel and I actually kinda agree with you, I felt this way sometimes. Also no he didn't learn about any of this stuff and didn't go to sex and education (he also doesn't really understand or know about human anatomy or how that works and stuff) he also never had a relationship with anyone before (human, or wildcat/shifter) so he's like, really naive and dumb lol. He mostly only understands human romance (keyword: human, which he is not*) through dramas and stuff so he's very discoordinated on how actually getting together works.
