This is a neat concept but it feels like the direction this story is taking is too strange and out of place. There are so many issues but it short, the author doesn’t know how to handle or portray true trauma-stricken mental illness. The emperor being the male lead when the doll and soul of the mc look so much like his dead baby sister is also super weird. And, as someone else mentioned, the plan to stop the war seems to be a bust now. It’s hard to imagine anything good coming out of this when the emperor already seems too far gone to the people.
I agree to all of this. I was the one who left the comment about ignoring the whole war thing - it would be fine to sideline it for a bit/slowly work towards it, but the way it feels like it was completely forgotten (until it'll be suddenly mentioned) just feels wrong and frustrating.
It's also frustrating because this story has an interesting idea that could work, and I also adore the stylized art style, but there are clearly issues that don't seem like they're going to be solved in a satisfied matter

I’m gonna be real, I’ve only read the first 50 chapters, skipped the middle and accidentally picked up at the start of the high school flashbacks out of curiosity to see if there was any cute relationship development. There was not. It was only pain. So I continued reading past that point and ohhh my fucking goddddd why is this so HEAVY. why is yeonwoo and haesol’s relationship worse off from the beginning and why is she lookin at him all creepy like??? I’m starting not to like her with the way she’s played with his feelings. And SPOILER!!!!! STOP READING HERE FR IF YOU DONT WANNA KNOW!!!!!!!!!!

Someone said that apparently she does reveal she does like him but jesus man. That poor boy’s world is crumbling around him but it just seemed like she was using his feelings to her advantage this entire time. Just awful. Great read tho, really encapsulates the “Can’t look away” feeling
I liked this webcomic for more than the slightly unique look of the ml, but webcomics like this ALWAYS do this where they take the ml's features and shave them down to have the same look as one million other dudes. He had a really nice and refreshing look to him as I and many others are used to the same type of character over and over and over again. He's really hard to look at now...
I agree so much. I saw i missed some updates and forgot they made him boring and i really have lost all interest now. *sigh* oh well. Just going to remove it from my updates list now.
