I know we all hating on the white hair dude as a ml but i find it hilarious how it only took a few interactions for him to start doing whatever she tells him like “i need to talk to you” “why” “just come” and hes like yeah sure ill follow you and wait for you to talk to your sister yeah alright then
You guys hate stories where the fl is always waiting for the ml to save her, so here you have a story of a cunning fl that have her own plans and does what she wants. The emperor is not “useless”, he helps when she asks him to, but she wants to do her own things most of the time and he respects her instead of taking her autonomy and forcing her to obey him. And more than that, he trust her and knows shes what she is capable of, hes not following her around without her consent like many ml around do because he knows her, and its HER revenge!
And honestly it makes me glad the story allows her to thrive without or with the ml by her side, many stories will have the fl try do something without the ml, just to be put in a dire situation where she needs to be saved and the ml is there just in time. Here she says she can do it alone SHE WILL DO IT, and if she needs help, her loving husband is just behing doing whatever she wishes
Gotta love how this story can be resumed with “the match each others freak a bit too much actually”
I really like how the women got out of that situation alone, it shows they dont need a ml to save them all the time

“Shes dumb” guys shes basically being interrogated while having a mental breakdown. Shes not even eating well even the servents were worried. I get we always like when characters do logical things but people are human too. I dont think its out of character for her to say things in the heat of the moment its not like this doesnt happen in real life when we are in moments of stress. She could turn the situation if her mind was in the right place but it isnt, shes barelly maling corehent thoughts through the conversation. And about the prince figuring it out, im going to guess thats because he is the man lead in a history with magical powers, so he perhaps got some sort of knowlegment

It’s so refreshing to see a main character knows what she wants and go after it, no time spend with the whole “she doesnt realize she is in love until several chapters” or the “she’s afraid of confesing because of whatever excuse the story tells you”

You know what i kind of really like the Emperor. He doesn’t mistreat his wifes and try to dote on all his kids the same way. He is the emperor so of course he doesn’t have the time to take care of all their family matters but its nice how he doesn’t act like he is above it all. It could be another case of “the dad only cares for the new babygirl u.u” but no he genuinely wants all his kids to be in good terms
This is a nice breath of air from other stories that have the emperors to be evil or straight up stupid (yes im talking to you Emperor from Sijin)
I also love that mc’s mother and the other wife being in good terms, too bad the third wife was too selfish and prideful because they could all have a good relationship if not for that. In the end she only doomed herself and her son
