I just finished binge watching the Anime on Netflix today and gosh I LOVE it. The animation is just so pretty and colourful packed with actions and fantasy (!) too which I was not expecting cause I never read the manga before I thought it would just be a historical romance story. So yeah I cried for Miyo non-stop for the first four eps like damn why is her life so pitiful . And yes as much as I love Miyo I am just equally annoyed at how many tears have been shed by her as the time goes by. Yet! I still do adore her so much all the same along with the man that Kudo is. I am taken aback at how expressive he is as the ML esp towards Miyo. I mean It's been a while since they make a man like this you know like Kazehaya from kimi ni todoke etc. While he is a bit stern being in military and all, he is also extremely sweet, affectionate and honest to his feelings. He said every little and big things Miyo needed to hear, it was simply lovely to see. I believe all these kind traits of his eventually led to Miyo's growth as someone who can express herself better and to be brave enough in taking the first step which of course make me feel so proud! They are so good and compatible to/with each other I can't imagine them marrying someone else. P/s: The proposal scene at the end was absolutely so fckin cute I wanted to cry again. I hope netflix will animate their wedding please. I don't even know if the original has more chapters beyond what has been adapted but look at me now craving
