Woah the the eyes are really....far apart...
I was too quick to judge, this artsyle is so pretty! Plus the story is cute!
He likes...children...? No, I have to be reading this wrong...
His friend "couldn't bear it" and introduced him to underage kids in need of money...? Like, some of the most vulnerable people in society...?
This entire story would have been better if they kept K liking pretty boys and liking to help children SEPERATE and NOT mingle the two into the same sort of affection
Also disturbed by the bit/joke(?) where him helping kids in Japan was fine, but the USA people were wary; not from the USA but i have to side with them on this
Story would not have changed much if K was an adult, besides being significantly less uncomfortable.
Guys I'm gonna cry I love this story so much. I didn't know some fluff random read one Tuesday night would become the most peak character driven story I've seen in my life. It's accompanied me for so long and I love all the characters but I hate them at times which makes me love them more like everyone so complex and interesting kms kms kms I love it arghh tears in my eyes I love you Mago never change
Before I yap: I've read this series since like, 2016 I think. I've never re read it so, uh, we rawdoggin the memory 4 this. I don't even remember/understand what guren is doing anymore, which makes me not give a shuckle about his entire plan and team rn I want the slick back black hair dude to win cuz he has a temporary alliance with mika n yuu (i give a lot of shuckles about them ). The story is acting as if guren and his friends are sooo close and friendship goals or sum shit. To be fair, I remember guren causing the apocalypse so his friend could live longer, but then his girlfriend came back (which i thought he didn't like?) And then he just abandoned his new friends for his big brain 4D chess plan with her??? I don't even know what bro is doing wtv, rn he's witnessing his doomed boyfriend die again ig
Wait alot of the character relationships I find so odd? For comparison, Mika and Yuu has this constant yearning and friendship shit going on, whenever they interact you KNOW they care about each other. The writing is consistent, they're interesting. But like, what's going on with all the others? Do yall actually like each other or are yall gonna switch up again example: why tf r all the vampires so chill with the Ferid guy eating them? Every damn time Ferid goes "Im gonna kill you!!" (The entire life story of the vampire happnes) "damn, you got me." And then they die and hang out in the tree, so chill with one another??? don't even get me started on that ch 150 they all went "heh...it was a good one..." "heh, do well, ferid..." as they died bruh istg none of yall liked him wtf
Side note; what happened to the trumpets and human experiments? I swear that was a thing
Extra note: sorry for any anger, bafflement, and frustration that may have been illicited from this post
I have a vague recollection of those!! Unfortunately, those side plots didn't really have a good pay off :( Where are all those people now??? They just disappeared from the story... I thought we were getting emotional stories and arcs from because they were IMPORTANT parts of the series But no, turns out every character, even some random vampire, needs a backstory and an arc, they weren't special at all
The recent chapters have characters that feel so...new? Unestablished is better. It's like im watching a spin off is the best way i can describe it. The characters introduced early in the series (YUU'S ENTIRE FRIENDGROUP) feel so underused. They could have gone deeper into the characters rather than wider with the cast number. Newer characters we dont even know (and frankly, i dont care about) are taking up so much spotlight.
Spoiler!!!
I feel happy someone like Skylar could turn his life around, but I also feel frustrated it was at the cost of Yeonduk's quality of life. Sure, the chapters towards the end were sweet, but no matter how much Skylar regretted his past actions, I felt it was still unfair. It actually got me thinking; love is kind of horrifying. Yeon suffered so much but couldn't stop caring and loving Skylar, not even blaming him for his health declining and his nightmares caused by his friends. I don't know how I wanted the story to end, but the original end feels like Yeon always had to accommodate Skylar, never able to do anything bad to him. I think it would've been nice for Yeonduk to do some bad/mean things to Skylar and have them both grow together. Alternative: show Skylar actually like Yeonduk before his arc! So it doesn't feel like all his regrets came out of nowhere! Show him doing acts of kindness instead of just saying "i never actually hated you" Hm~ but i guess that impulsive and immature personality was what made Skylar, Skylar. Anyways, I did enjoy Yeonduk struggling with his love (which sounds nice, but actually was really burdensome for my boy). I hope I don't sound upset over the story, I really enjoyed it! The characters were frustrating because they were themselves, and they were lovable because of that too haha
Note; haven't read the side stories yet
I was sooo convinced I would be a HATER from the first 20 chapters Sky was so mean and I felt so bad for the poor Son guy the artsyle was goofy too, I think as of now it improved, but I'm looking at the gallery and it looks uhh, budget cut... anyways, I really enjoyed the part where skylar started to realise he was a big asshole his childhood really explained his teenage rebellious behavior, pretty realistic!

I get how the mother came to be, horrible upbringing, bad first marriage, living in the slums blah blah blah. And to her credit, raising a child is objectively a liability (good, water, emotional wellbeing, shelter..) she didn't have a choice in. No amount of reasons excuses the fact it was objectively horrible being her child. I read some comments expressing that she's grown and is changing her ways, that the timeline reset so no one is rlly hurt. You knows what's crazy? After like 16-18 years of her knowing her daughter, from birth to death, she never understood her daughter's love. I know she admitted it herself, but ignore all the gorgeous art and think: Lyrica was a parentified child and watching over Lyrica all that time; never once did Lydia try to understand her. Ignorance is one thing, but for 18 years with a daughter like Lyrica? Girl be so fr you just didn't try
