I think this would have benefitted from at least a brief arc of the mc wondering if the ml was actually gay and either unaware of it or hiding it. The moment that man dove down to blow and finger him zero problem for an alleged homophobe made me lol. They could have danced around it for a bit, maybe did better flashbacks, and the ending would have been more satisfying instead of confusing and rushed. The bit would the royalty/parliament could have been interwoven better into a slightly longer arc and finish.
But tbh I think the author just wanted to finish and all the elements they liked they made Kiss me Liar from LOL.
