yeah but a normal person would leave someone alone if they expressed *this* much disdain for them. my original comment was a rhetorical statement that was meant to point out how much of a strange person matthias is for consistently bullying and hurting her to the point of tears and then he goes and wonders “how can i make her mine.” obviously since i read the novel, they do get together but man matthias is a nutcase sometimes
