FLAWLESSLY EXECUTED!!!!!!
I have to say, I've always considered Perez as kind of an accessory to Tia in the scheming department, like he's there to help her with her goals and look pretty more than anything else. BUT my mind has been changed now. This was a diabolically excellent plan. Now, that's ML degree. My hat off, ML.
Ok, but why do I low-key want Lied's sister to peg him????? There's something about him, man....
Damn, I honestly did not expect this level of quality. I saw this story back when it first came out and dismissed it because of the tired concept and not particularly pretty art (it does improve). Now I'm so glad to say I was wrong. This is a magnificent story. The lead couple is awesome, the character work all around is top notch, communication 10 out of 10 and immaculate vibes. Even its weakest point which is the plot is handled masterfully because the author obviously did not want to delve too deep in complex topics so instead the story is self-aware about how dumb the villains are and how cliche and melodramatic the different developments can be (it almost lost me with the amnesia arc, not gonna lie, but again, it was masterfully handled). Really great experience overall.
Oh hubby
Are we foreshadowing Leo's baby sibling???? I'm down!
That sh*tstain Bright and her a*hole parents never told her the truth???????? That is so effed up on so many levels. The treatment of women in this story is awful. One is a disposable tool they pass among themselves when its convenient (and yes, I mean Lloyd here too, he's supposedly doing all this to marry the princess and yet has no qualms about leading Wisteria on), and the other is a pretty flower who is treated as a stupid child not capable enough to make her own decisions by the rest of the people around her including those who profess to love her. This is awful on so many levels and I just want Listeria to go back so that all these people can go f*so themselves together when the truth comes out. Bright especially I hope your family implodes on you and everyone abandons you, you gigantic POS.
Man, I'm sure glad they picked up this series for official release but there is so much extra content missing from the volumes!!! I hope they will gather all the snippets and extras at the end and do a volume for them because really its pages and pages.
YEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
YES, come Yiao Yiao, I've been WAITING for this.
Give me a manhua, a donghua, a drama, the whole shebang and will eat it up for breakfast!!!!
Is it EVER revealed why her parents abused her? I came from watching the first episode of the anime and just the very notion that they abuse her for no reason whatsoever completely took me out of it. Sure, abusers don't need a reason for their actions but you really going to tell me they just woke up one day and decided to treat their blood daughter like trash just because she's not as good looking as her sister? Not psychological wear and tear, not passive aggressive jabs, full blown Cinderella levels of abuse???? I'm sorry but that's the kind of stupid setup that makes me think the author just wants a cheap feels grab so you empathize with the poor victim protagonist rather than them putting the work into actually making them a compelling character.
I tend to be very forgiving of historical BL simply because there's so few of them. Even more so for reincarnation since that's my favorite genre. BUT this was ass. This is so bad I wish I had paid for it so I can ask for a refund. The art is the only thing it has going for it. The plot is horrible, the story and timeline inconsistencies are head-splitting, there is absolutely 0 chemistry between the leads, and the MC is the most wishy-washy character in the world for all the truly dark crap that happens to him. I kept reading only because I wanted to see him meet his brother again and find out the truth and even that was taken from me because it just never happens. All the plotlines established early on are abandoned in favor of awkward sex and uncomfortable stiff attempts at closeness between the two MCs that are predicated solely on MC conveniently forgetting that ML kidnapped him, repeatedly raped him, incarcerated him, tortured him and BRANDED HIM AS A SEX SLAVE (And this is from someone who LOVES Erha, so you know I'm not squeamish with my dark themes in YAOI.) And all of this goes out the window and it is never addressed. EVER. Suddenly MC is all for helping and returning to the person he was so eager to escape he was willing to die trying. This is so clearly a case of a story not being popular enough that it forced the author to cancel and wrap up ahead of time, but if so, I which they have chosen the realistic route and have MC go back to his original country rather than return to ML, because honestly, this blows.
I love how Zagan keeps putting all his harem flags in clearly defined familial positions. Like the dude not even thinking about it. Found a cute loli? She's my daughter now. The clumsy rival is getting the feels? She's delegated to the weird friend/babysitter role and lets put a prospective love interest next to her so she calms down. A mysterious beauty that looks like my wife appears? Obviously her sister so in-laws it is. Some cat girl keeps pestering me? Never mind, she's actually the stepdaughter of the butler so she's extended fam now. I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!
Ok, why do I have the feeling now that redhead brought his omega buddy in the original story over with the hopes that MC would divorce the duke and he could pounce on him? Considering how cunning he is and how he's been chasing after him for years, I could totally see it. The son to a disgraced noble turned black market chief might not be able to access the heir of a count, but once this heir gets divorced and ostracized by society? This 100% sounds like a drag-them-down-to-my-level kind of thing. What I don't understand is the blond omega's problem though? I want to think that maybe MC is too sensitive and imagining things but if not... TF is with you, dude, you don't even know him.
Dude the angst was going so well and then the author had to destroy it with the biggest load of convoluted crap plot I've seen in a long time. At that point why not just make Yuuma a villain or just make him like postpartum depression or something like that. This twist and his reasoning are so f*cking stupid and add so much nothing to the plot it tainted my enjoyment of the entire story. Had a good thing going. Way to ruin it.
No, girlypop, tell him the TRUTH!!!!!!!
Also, I need Alice to kick some sense into Marius already. This angst is hurting my fluff.
You have to admire how the writer of this realized early on that his target audience had accidentally shifted to women and rather than course correct they leaned into it full force, replacing all the bouncy tiddies for BL bait. Truly the spirit of an entrepreneur
Honestly Zagan lives for the drama. All this could have been resolved with literally two works but he has to drag it up because he's extremely like that ( ̄∇ ̄")
Man, the PDA in this series is truly top-notch. I don't think I've read another manhwa in which the leads are so casually comfortable with each other physically without all the blushing and flustering. Its so nice. Please recommend me more like this!
See? This is the kind of conflict that I want in this manga!!!! Fluffy, silly, adorable... Give me 14 more!!!
Man, this is why I liked Tea Recipes so much. Why are these grown ass women always getting bent out of shape at the perspective of sex? Like this is not a damn shojo, girlypop, come on.
