For crying out loud, these characters are gay, but they're still biological males. Their minds and bodies are tough, not like a sick kid or weak schoolgirl.
Let the bottom guy stand up for himself instead of letting him become a pet of the rapist and fall in "love" (love, my foot). Just because he's a gay, a bottom and a rape victim doesn't mean he has to lack self respect.
Seriously, why do BL authors keep playing this messed-up game where love blossoms between a victim and a rapist? It’s always about Stockholm syndrome, right? But in the real world, while victims might feel weak, they’re not so spineless that they end up falling for their attackers.
There are hardly any BL stories where the bottom goes through endless pain but still manages to find someone who truly cares. How about a change where the bottom gets revenge, pretending to love the rapist and then making his life a nightmare? That would be something different and fresh.
