i can vaguely get why he returned so he can rise through the ranks faster so he can overthrow his old empire but holy shit HE LITERALLY BRANDED, TORTURED AND RAPED YOU. Not to mention when mc was being tortured and got raped by the watcher (idk what his role was exactly) the ml BLAMED HIM FOR BEING RAPED and then proceded to brand him because 'how dare he sleep with another man'.

i was genuinely hopeful that now that the emperor understood that mc has/had a high status he would yk RESPECT him. but no all we got was a second of oh maybe we'll see a change in there relationship then just 'no's and 'stop's. we now get a clear idea that the mc has a hard time being attracted to the ml especially psychically. we recently learned that mc called a young boy to his bed before and thats awful but its a whole nother thing to show the ml do the same/similar thing over and over in graphic detail.
