I’ve been trying to get into this story but I’m having a hard time. I’ve read the first 10 chapters a couple of times, but I keep losing interest and forgetting what happened. For those who had a similar experience, when did it really start to click for you? I want to give it a fair shot — does it pick up at a certain point?
I don’t hate Jeanette because she’s clueless and a little ignorant, after all she’s only 14 (I think) and that’s pretty young. I hate her because she thinks family is base on blood, like no bitch (and this might sound clíche) but a family loves you, a family is loyal and most importantly family is based on the bonds you form with them. But, no, Jeanette loves her family based on the fact that they share blood, like this bitch switched up so fast when they told her that the emperor wasn’t her dad and then boom! Like nothing she moved on to her real “dad”, a dad who uses her, doesn’t love her, and certainly does not respect her. Nevermind I do hate her because she’s clueless and ignorant and I know Athy is a lot older than her but fucking Jeanette doesn’t even make a fucking effort to educate herself, she’d rather be a damsel in distress and a victim, no, it’s like she wants to be one
Why are people still complaining about Gabi? She had a good fucking character development plus she is a child! I know it’s just a manga but man y’all morals out of whack
She is ignorant yes, but that ain’t her fault. I think Eren or Armin said (or someone did) that it’s not her fault, Marleyans are being taught a history by people who know nothing themselves. Yes I gotta admit she was annoying plus she killed Sasha and hurt many others and yes I agree that we did not just read and form emotional connections with the people of paradis to end up siding with the Marleyans but man the poor girl got beaten many times by many adults, adults who should know better than to beat a godamn child and yes later on she kind of began to understand that they were feeding her and the Marleyan people lies about paradis and that must have had a mental toll on her, I mean imagine being told that what you wholeheartedly believe in is a lie, the disappointment and shock and how confused she must’ve been and again she is just a child, give her a break

Is anyone else kind of thinking that there is going to be a bit of drama coming but then they’ll just smooth it over, like hyesung is just come to terms with the fact that his kid and husband have a relationship with his mom and “get over it”. I really hope this doesn’t happen but base off how the author handled Lee Chewon’s story where he basically had no repercussions (consequences) for what he did to Yoon Heeso AND still got his happy ending
