evey single isekai manga that touches on food digs at europes culinary past.
like i just read one where "bread is always hard" as if many ways to eat hard bread didn't exist throughout the centuries since throwing it away would be unthinkable for the common people.
the concept of french toast has existed since the 5th century, so why would ppl not know about it in what seems to be a medieval society?
all to intruduce the signature bread of japan, milk bread.
I'm Asian so I don't really eat bread much. But even I have my own bread breakfast sometimes. And because I eat it sometimes, white bread is really inconvenient for long storage. I prefer the "hard" breads that last longer. Honestly they're not even that hard. You could microwave it to make it softer if you want.
That one isekai camping food one doesn't touch on breads though. I like that they focus more on convenient food. And MEAT for the familiars, of course.
