fl is as vain as everyone who judged her and her sister based on their beauty. she was as vain as all her exes that chose her sister, just bc she's the victim of her own vanity doesn't mean she's not the exact same as those who judged her bases on appearances. like thinking Shane would obviously fall in love with her sister bc she's pretty. does she really think all ppl are so surface level and rotten? and if so, why would she fall for someone like that? and instead of improving herself and her self confidence and searching her own beauty, she abandoned and decided to become rotten inside, distrustful and not change a thing.
she's truly unlikeable and i say that as an "ugly duckling" myself. i hate characters like that, basing their whole worth and the worth of others on outer beauty. like she might be lamenting in self pity but she also judges her sister as being nothing but her beauty, like that scene in swan princess "you're beautiful. -what else? is beauty all that matters to you? - what else is there?" but about her own sister.
