I do hope he goes back for any property she left behind at Granny's house (which probably isn't much), as well as all the new things he purchased for her sitting in his father's house.
Also, I remember him saying he was going to sell his father's property after he passed, but then he started fixing it up to accommodate her needs (shower), their private "nookie" time during his summer visits, shelter her new purchases, and provide a place for escape during the winter.
Will the author have the guy keeping the house, or will he pack up and sell the place, since the village holds nothing but painful memories and a bunch of old pedophile perverts that he doesn't want around his girl?
