Sir Claude should be male lead, he has done no harm to her and they can both team revenge. He would be overly willing to help (offering to chop them up). They can have cute crazy moments together
I appreciate that although it's taking a long time for them to meet the arc has actual important matters happening to move the story forward. But I swear if I start seeing filler of medieval times version of a beach episode I'll cry
