I genuinely wasnt going into this with much expectation, Chinese manhua usually reuse the same formula. Girls lusting over MC, MC powerful.
Crazily enough the story can get really dark and graphic, but always keeping the MC'S goal consistent. Turns out that the further you read the more things start to fall into place, they exposition dump in a smooth way. It seems like the plot is rushing until you realise everything kinda makes sense. Even the so called mistake of him being reborn? As a demon.
Also, theres no harem. MC is loyal, and his girl? Shes a badass. And really, thats all I personally care about. No girls chase him, he's not collecting women like pokemon, and the people around him although not as strong grow with the MC through every battle. Which is kinda new for a manhua iykyk. ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ
Im also happy to report, theres hardly any annoying characters, and if they are they either get better or die. Unredeemable characters also die.
I also rate the fact that people arent picking fights with him for no reason, another things thats common in manhua. (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
Lastly, I genuinely think you should give this manhua a chance. Its funny, and has a good balance of dark and light themes.
Tldr: its a good manhua, solid 9/10. Story flows well, barely any annoying characters and no harem- which is always a score.ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~
I agree, I was gonna drop it at the beginning because it was looking like every other manhua and because it felt so rushed but we get explanations for everything unlike others where the MC is OP out of luck but this one goes into detail on how and why he’s overpowered. The fan service isn’t that bad either like yeah the proportions are a bit exaggerated but they’re not being shown naked and MC literally doesn’t bat an eye to other girls <3
Let me set things straight, I dont care for the fact that he has a high body count what I care about is that he saw her drunk. She said have sex and he thought that was permission to take her to a motel strip her of her clothes and be intimate with her.
Let me remind you, he's sober for the entire encounter she is drunk.
Now the next day comes and all of a sudden he's showing up at her house (something he hasn't done in years) with alcohol and condoms. Saying it wasn't his purpose to get intimate with her, when he knows the previous night, when she got drunk she wanted to get intimate. Clearly hes lying, the cherry on top is that all of asudden hes being nice to her and blurring the lines using the fact they used to be friends in Timbuktu also banking on the fact that hes not her boyfriend to get away with certain behaviour.
Thats why I personally don't like him. Also as soon as I knew of the boyfriend's existence I knew he was a cheater. What I didnt know is that hes only relevant for two chapters after all that exposition about how he's nice and sweet.

anw i agree! i mean i know he’s getting better as a character now, but that does indeed not change the past where he agreed to a drunk girl’s advances (black out drunk ppl cannot consent! yes ik this is fiction but irl this applies just a general reminder to every1)
