I'm going to keep this short as I can ( ̄∇ ̄")
The FML is a pushover and an idiot who gets assaulted by the men in a reading club she joined to fill the requirement. Let's say these men are as 'hot' as she claims, that means it should be easy to find a consentual partner, no? I'm sure if they looked around they would find a girl who wants a poly-relationship with all 4 of them.
The men are all weirdos, with weird fetishes and unsurprisingly the leader of this rag tag group of big-headed losers has black hair and red eyes.
Just going to quickly explain why the FML is an idiot:
1. She deems joining a club for school credit as a freshman more important than her dignity, virginity, and her comfort.
2. She doesn't draw the line clearly, shes says no but shes saying no while staying in place letting them take advantage of her. This is why a kick to the balls a day makes the predators go away
(๑•ㅂ•)و✧
3. She doesn't tell authorities or teacher or friend- probably cause shes friendless that the club shes joined is filled with assaulters. So basically, shes letting them not only get away with it, but they'll probably continue to do this in their work lives and cause other women despair. I would go on but I said I'd keep this short.
Tldr: The FML is an idiot, who gets assaulted by big headed losers who only think with their nether regions. Also forgot to add, the plot is ass, probably because there's no plot. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
So far it has reached up to 30 in official and 60 in fan translations. This story is about a toxic relationship between Seo Kangwoo (ML/Top) and Heewoon (MC/Bottom).
It basically started out with Heewoon stalking Kangwoo until he found out that Kangwoo was living a double life. To be fair, even though Heewoon is a crybaby I don't blame him. Kangwoo is one scary bastard.
Just a small list of the things Kangwoo has done to Heewoon:
Threaten
Assault
Slap
Pull out his teeth in his sleep
Break his leg
Choke
Etc.
I think Kangwoo doesn't know how to show his affection other than threatening because he has attachment and possession issues. He especially hates when Heewoon lives a life outside of him and have friends. He's quick to anger and Heewoon is quick to cry and beg for his life and safety.
Heewoon is a very timid and hardworking fellow as well as a pushover, and this is my personal opinion I think his mom is awful. I understand that she's not the healthiest but even sickly mothers go above and beyond for their children. She's in debt, and Heewoon is doing his best to pay but his mother can't find it in herself to find a job? Not even as a cook? Or work a job with her sister? You're telling me that other mothers out there are busting their ass for their children and all you can do is sit at home and twiddle your thumbs waiting for your bastard eldest child who abandoned you?
Speaking about bastard eldest child, Heewons big brother is a quack. Siphon out the money from you family, disappear for three years and then come back wanting more money. ヽ(`Д´)ノ
Tldr: The mother is subpar family member, the elder brother is garbage (non-recyclable), Heewon is a crying pushover (don't blame him, Kangwoo scary af), and Kangwoo is a violent psychopath with a lot of money and a lot of illegal business. Oh and Heewon is Kangwoos lover on a good day and punching bag on a bad day.
Alright, here's my review. Just 4 points.
1. The art is amazing, really. Every scene is well drawn. The starting chapters gave us a pretty good understanding of Tia's life and what we were going into her past with.
2. For a LONG while Tia was afraid and traumatised from even hearing Ruve's name, she eventually got over that. Below is a list of things he did
a) Raped her
b) caused her miscarriage
c) frequent abuse and neglect
d) told her to lick his boots to save her father knowing full well he killed her father earlier
e) ruin Juin's life after cheating on Tia with Juin
f) cause the downfall of her family.
There's also minor things as well but let's just stick with the main things that causes her trauma, and others readers dislike for him.
3. After returning to the past she's made up her mind to live differently, unfortunately things did not go her way till the very end. As even though she's made good friends along the way she still eventually ends up back at square one with Ruve. Even though she 'tried' to escape and pave a new way all of her effort are thwarted not because of outside interference. It's of her own volition. She herself decided to throw away her friendships, her new path as a swordman etc. If anything in her second life that she managed to achieve its a more comfortable and happier relationship with her father.
4. Lastly, the ending. She rejects Allenis and Carseine's advances for more than friendship to be with Ruve. Personally, I'm glad she got over her trauma. It was good development on her part. The only thing I don't agree with is her ending up with Ruve. I understand he's 'changed' (could you really say he's changed when he's going around reading person's personal letters while they passed out from seeing you?) Anyway, the ending although disappointing to me, had her be happy, I suppose that is what she really needs. Happiness.
Personal thoughts:
I'd be fine if she ended up not being with anyone, or being with allendis, or Carseine. I honestly wouldn't mind if she found someone entirely different, maybe she ends up with a Knight or something. Yet, none of this happens. Anyway, if you decide to read, try not to get too invested as you may be disappointed, maybe even upset in the end. Happy Readings ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~
Here's a quick summary of the story.
So it's technically spoiler but it's more of an overview. I won't be going into details.
We have Jeongwoo our seme and Se-eun our uke. Se-un is a manhwa writer and he's written an 18+ manhwa about Jeongwoo (childhood friend and crush) and himself. He's very obsessed with Jeongwoo.
There's a lot of transitions from Se-eun "making love with" Jeongwoo, but most of these are in his head. So when it actually happens it's very jarring. You'll get used to them being together after a while, but I believe there could have been a better way for those transitions. As, in my opinion, it was terrible. <<--- As you can see I expressed that its my opinion.
Jeongwoo on the other hand has a more innocent, first crush/first love kinda thing going on. He uses it to better himself and make himself well known in his community. He's a very joyful/jovial person overall. The catch is that he's in love with our uke and he has been since he was smaller. It seems they both developed a crush on each other around the same time.
The drama only exist because the Se-eun is a very cowardly, selfish and demented? Person. <-- you don't have to agree. I'm just saying, his first that about everything is just to run away. He doesn't try, he doesn't show any sort of affection but expects Jeongwoo to love him (which he did) and show him affection while literally giving the man glares, annoyed faces, just overall uninterested vibes.
Tld: Uke is obsessed with Seme, Uke causes a lot of misunderstandings and issues (while aware of what he's doing but continue to do so anyway)
Imagine this situation from his point of view. He's always told Lulu he loves her, always giving her gifts, always sending letters. The man even shortened their wedding date to literally the next week. He's never stopped showing her how much he loves her even on the day she left. She just kept assuming things. Is it that hard to just ask him "hey did you kiss the Saintess? I saw y'all outside the temple."
Get mad at him, slap him, go up to him, do anything but disappear with his child that he didn't even know he had.
Imagine wasting 7 years of someone's life over a misunderstanding that could've been easily resolved. Then she has the audacity to say we hurt each other ヽ(`Д´)ノ
The only one who hurt anyone was you, Lulu. Also, imagine being this selfish where you'd abandon your loving family, your fiancé and everyone in your life because you didn't have the guts to at least try to figure out what happened.
Tdlr: Lulu is the main antagonist of her own story, and her self-destructive ways ruined everyone's life and wasted their time.
