Hello folks, I read all 201 chapters of the novel so you don’t have to. Though it is a very lengthy one, I have composed all of my notes into one comment for easier reading accessibility. I did add and revise somethings from my prior comment postings, so some material may vary. Now, without further due.
Okay, I wanted to write a quick summary of what happened so far up to chapter 201.1 from the novel. Things get worst at the beginning before it gets better. Leon’s down fall WILL COME so please don’t give up on this story.
So whoever needs to hear it, here it is. It will be very difficult to hear this for some people. Your discretion is advised. Thank you.
Leon continues to imprison Grace because of his childhood abandonment issues. He continues to take her against her will whenever he pleased. While calling her a ‘prostitute’ and how he was going to keep using her until he gets tired of her. Saying sh*t like he is going to marry the Grand Lady and keep Grace as his mistress for the rest of her life and continue to r*pe her on the daily. Sometimes, Leon attempts to recreate an environment within the torture chamber to re-live his childhood memories. He is doing these things because he is having an identity crisis about Grace. Meanwhile, Jimmy is persuaded by the elders to send a letter with capsules to have Grace kill herself instead of being Leon’s prisoner. Leon intercepted the letter feeling pity for Grace because even her own people didn’t want her. Leon keeps the letter from Grace to manipulate her in the long run. Because Leon thought if Grace finds out she was being sentenced to death by the Revolutionary army, her own people, she would lose her mind and kill herself. Instead, he wanted to use the letter to control and manipulate her later on.
Meanwhile, Grace manages to find an escape route out of the prison room. Thinking the Revolutionary army was probably still in the process of getting her free from Leon’s prison. When she broke out of his prison without him knowing and goes to the mailroom to report to Peter, she finds out Peter was actually a double agent hired by Leon, who ratted Grace’s location to Leon.
After Leon kills the double agent Peter in front of Grace because Grace called him out to being a coward for turning against the Revolutionary army and Peter was about to hit her in retaliation. Leon came behind him and shot him dead. Leon then tried to kill Grace with the same gun (due to his abandonment issues again >_>) but failed to do so. (I think this is where season 1 will end in the Manhwa).
Then, Leon relocates Grace to a new prison, starving her for days because of his anger towards her leaving him again. Then, he came back with food and a dog collar, saying he was going to train her to listen to his instructions. Grace was now treated as a dog. Dehumanizing, degrading and humiliating her continually. He nicknamed Grace ‘Bella’ to mock her (Bella was the name of the dog from his childhood). He continued to brainwash Grace, telling her she is better off with him. That she had no choice but continue to be his s*x toy for the rest of her life.
While this happens, Leon started behaving a bit out of character sometimes, like sometimes he would sleep next to Grace in the torture chamber and bring her favorite cake. Then, one night he even reenacted his childhood date with Grace while he was drunk. Grace got emotionally honest with her feelings and confessed her heart out to Leon. Saying she ‘liked’ him when they were kids. Hearing that, Leon loses his mind and r*pes Grace even harder. Not saying a single word about her confession… (I guess from the author’s respective, he was hurting from his childhood and had no room in his heart for love other than indifference towards her).
Afterwards Grace finds out she was actually biologically related to the commander of the military, who also had turquoise eyes. Apparently Grace’s birth mother Angela was a spy when the revolutionary army assassinated the former king. Angela got with the commander to infiltrate the king. Grace was an a illegitimate child of the Royal family. (so not only was she unwanted by the revolutionary army, her fiancée, mother, step father, biological father and the royal family didn’t want her… the only person who wanted her alive and well was Leon… who is fucked in the head… I feel so bad for this girl … HOW is she so relentless to continue to have the sheer WILL to keep wanting to live?! I don’t know. I sure do admire that about Grace.)
One day his engagement took place with the Grand Lady. After putting a ring on the Grand Lady, Leon came to his Annex, where he trapped Grace and showered her with gifts like dress, make up and jewelry. (It was as if he was engaging/marrying Grace in the same night) Then, Leon loses it and r*pes Grace. This time, with the intent to impregnate her. Grace kept pleading she didn’t want a baby. Leon, however, didn’t care about her permission, he continued to force himself on her to get what he wanted. He thought that this would be the last option to keep her tied to him for life. Their first attempt for pregnancy fails… so he continued to r*pe her for days… (it’s so disgusting what he continued to do to her that I don’t even feel comfortable typing it here. me: (︶︿︶)=凸 to Leon)
Grace eventually became pregnant. Grace experiences some major pregnancy sickness and loses a ton of weight. She asked Leon if this was his newest torture technique. Leon started to grow a ‘conscious’ at this point and felt a little bad for her.. (me over here (╯°Д °)╯╧╧ (╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸 to Leon. And Hoping his dick rots in hell. lol, lol)
Grace was struggling to live yet refusing to die. At this point in the story, this girl finds out some major life altering news; her biological father was a royalist and the revolutionary army presumed she was dead. (Leon told Grace about these two information)Grace didn’t believe Leon and thought he was making all of this up to manipulate her. (Which he also actually was doin)
In order to get out of the sh*t hole imprisonment, Grace tries to use Leon’s love for her against him. She plotted to give him fake love and take it all away by leaving him, so that he may suffer miserably alone, forever, unhappy. Leon Winston, the lunatic he was, didn’t fall for this, at that time. Instead he uses her fake love to satisfy his sexual desires. ( (╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸 this guy has NO SHAME)
One morning while Grace was pregnant with the baby but was still recovering from her pregnancy illness… Leon sat her up with a gun and cash in a handbag. She uses the gun and herself as leverage to escape the heavily guarded Annex. It was all a set up, Leon had his guys follow her every step. Grace knew she was being followed, yet, she went into the revolutionary hide out anyway. She contacted Jimmy and found out he DID in fact sent her a letter with capsules to kill herself, just as Leon told her. Grace was in a place of shock at this point. She felt abandoned by one man (Jimmy) and manipulated by the other (Leon). Grace then, managed to escape Leon’s spy bodyguards and went to visit her half-brother, Joe.
Joe told her about their dead mother and why he had left the revolutionary army because of what she said and done. Grace’s mom, Angela, wrote a journal and a letter for Grace. Explaining everything wrong with the revolutionary army and told her to get out.
Basically, the revolutionary army that Grace was taught all her life to devote her self to was no different than the royal family. Grace was brainwashed into their system to only get used by them to kill the royals. They convinced Angela not to abort Grace because they wanted to use her unborn child to kill her own blooded people. The revolutionary brainwashed Grace ever since she was born. (Can I just add here, that is just SO MESSED UP. Beyond inhumane treatment) They showed Grace only the best side of the revolutionary army to obtain her allegiance to the cause, while secretly making fun of her because she was killing her own kind. (They say some bullsh*t like it’s dog eat dog and pig eat pig world out there) Angela didn’t want this for her child, she didn’t want how she got pregnant with her to happen to Grace too. But Angela didn’t have a lot of choice because the Elders made her be complicit (Still, she could have fought for her child and left the rebel army, but didn’t…idk why).
All this newly learned information opened Grace’s eyes. Angela left a bit of money for both Joe and Grace for them to start a new life out side of the revolutionary army.
(I think this is where season 3 will start in the manhwa)
Now, this is when Leon Winston finally STARTED to get what was coming to him. Grace secretly leaves Joe’s place with her pregnancy, the letter from her mother and a bunch of gold bars. Grace realized the Revolutionary army was corrupted and evil just as much as Leon Winston. She sought out a plan to use Leon to take down the revolutionary army. Leon was thrilled because this was why Leon let her leave the Annex in the first place. Things were finally going as he planned; which was to use Grace to lore out the rebels’ hideout. After she gave up the rebel’s base, Leon ASSUMED Grace was going to come running back into his delulu arms. Which doesn’t happen.
After Grace revealed the rebels’ base she then skips town, evading Leon’s army of people watching her every move. Grace uses her inheritance to stay at motels while secretly calling in rebel forces, while going on the run from Leon.
At this rate, Leon was going absolutely crazy, losing his mind for losing the woman. He cares more about the woman than the child she was forced to conceive. He counted every day, hours, minutes and seconds he has been away from Grace. Recalling every second he spent with her before she left him… Leon was stuck in a constant loophole of despair (despair has its own counts ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ and Leon Winston was only BEGINNING his counts, heheheheheh (=・ω・=))
This comment on ‘quick summary’ was not as quick as I said… I’m sorry about that. I will try to make the summaries shorter this time. But I will also try to capture ALL of Leon Winston’s demise. (Hehe (≧∀≦)ლ(´ڡ`ლ) )
Below is the continuation of Leon Winston’s demise and Grace Riddle’s somewhat of a freedom.
At Christmas Eve, Leon Winston was awarded a Christmas miracle. As he was decorated as the hero who took down the rebels and his military status went from being a captain to viscount. Leon on the other hand, couldn’t care less about his ranks. All he cared about was losing the love of his life, Grace. He began to ponder and dwell on the past. He deemed himself as an ignorant fool for losing Grace and the unborn child.
Meanwhile, Grace is sipping Ginger ale and eating yummy chocolate (lol ik,ik that’s our girl right there ヾ(☆▽☆)(≧∀≦)). Residing in temporary motels not too far from Leon’s location. Since she can’t travel by sea while being pregnant, she had to resort to moving from one location to another to not allow Leon to catch on to her.
Grace was experiencing a normal pregnancy without experiencing the constant oppression from her sick baby daddy, Leon.
He finally did manage to talk to Grace’s half-brother Joe and threatened him to leek everything Grace had told him before she disappeared. Or else Joe’s wife, children and him would all be placed into a concentration camp. Joe willingly complied as Grace’s prior instructions to him. Joe showed Leon Angela’s journal. After going through the journal and hearing about what Grace and him talked about that day, Leon goes into a frenzy of self blame and guilt about how he had treated her. He acknowledged he was an ignorant fool who mistreated his woman. She was going through something much worst and he didn’t even have the decency to believe her. Or even trust her words. (He felt like crap lol, good)
Later, Leon’s people suspected Grace to be the one who frequently called his call-in facility to report rebel sightings. Leon manages to catch her on the act during one of these calls from her and plead her to come back to him. During this conversation, Grace asked him to ‘Try Begging’ for her to come back. As embarrassed as he was, he apologized with a fake and insincere apology. Grace didn’t accept the apology, which made him feel like sh*t for saying it in the first place. (This was kinda like wounding his pride. lol I say f*ck his pride man. After the sh*t she had to experience and do this is NOTHING). Grace ended the call with her echoing questions to him ‘Do you still not love me? Are you unhappy?’
Grace disappeared off of Leon’s radar again after this call for over 4 months. (I think this is POSSIBLY when the 4th season of the Manhwa will come out) Leon Winston continues to stumble to find Grace. He drew vivid descriptions of her on posters. Grace couldn’t go anywhere without sunglasses covering her eyes. Grace even dyes her hair to throw off the description of the posters. She has been using fake alias everywhere she went. Winston out here going cray-cray searching for her whereabouts, through every nook and cranny. (Lol)
Back at the Annex/torture chamber, Leon was growing ever more scared, nervous and worried about Grace because it was her due date soon. Leon recalled the time when Grace told him she would k*ll the baby before she could call her mom. Which drove him to feel even more despair. If she got rid of the baby, she was forced to have with him, he would no longer have anything else to tie her to him with.
Grace had given birth at May 21st. Grace gave a successful delivery to a baby girl that had her turquoise eyes and Leon’s face and hair color. She gave birth at a temporary apartment she leased for the summer. After a month of nursing Grace was going to get rid of the baby by giving her for adaption. Even though reminiscence of Leon’s voices in her head told her not to give his baby away to anyone. The newborns mother tried to give her baby away several times before coming to a conclusion she couldn’t because she had grown too close to the baby. Grace acknowledged, giving her baby away will be no different than her mother’s compliance with the rebels, when Grace was a baby. Grace wanted to live her own life, just as her mother instructed her on her death letter. Grace realized the best way to obtain this happiness was with her baby.
Grace had registered the baby after 6 months of birth. The baby’s name is nicknamed Ellie (short for Elizabeth).
Meanwhile, Leon goes mad looking for Grace and the baby. While finding glimpses of her presence at places she used to live in. Reports came to let Leon know people had sighted Grace at apartments/motels but by the time he got there she was long gone. Leon scuffled and felt sorrow that he couldn’t even hold his baby daughter, let alone know her name. Grace took those privileges away from him, when she and the baby left him.
I am pleased to announce Grace is no longer imprisoned by Leon at any of his estates. (From ch 146-201 Grace and her baby is free from Leon’s grasp.)
Leon continues to pursues to hunt for Grace after 2 1/2 year after their encounter at the port trap, but he had absolutely no luck catching her.
Leon’s arranged marriage with the Grand Lady had been postponed. All the man has done for the past 3 years was smoke cigarettes and use drugs to sleep at his annex and reminiscence and his past memories with Grace. Taking the pills is the only way he can garentee seeing Grace again. (Okay, this is getting a bit serious now… he might actually overdose on these pills if he continues, but he can’t help himself) He hasn’t been able to see Grace for 2.5 years and that drove the love-sick man to want to lose his sanity.
Leon referred to himself as a dog, and any clue that Grace had left him before was like a bone to chase after her. But for 2.5 years had left the dog to dry. Parched, the dog had nothing to cling to other than his own devices, in which case for Leon those devices were drug, nicotine and alcohol. (None of which are good for his health in the long terms. In other words, Leon Winston was trying to slowly k*ll himself from depression.)
Grace had been dreaming about Leon’s violence towards her, while craving for his embrace. Recently, she had been longing for Leon’s touch. However, she kept reminding herself of all the horrific things he made her do, when he had locked her up at his private estates. The man was far from redemption. As we get to know Grace’s current life, where Grace’s is known by her alias, Anna. Grace was running low on money and therefore, resorted to working a working class job at a movie premiere office.
Grace felt lonely and alone being a single parent. She was 30 years old and thought at this age she would have a husband and children at this age. However, due to Leon Winston that future was robbed from her. Grace was peer pressured by her co-workers at the office to go on a date with the PR manager. Grace at first didn’t want to do it because it didn’t feel right for her, when continued to have lingering feelings for Leon. Grace was asked out by the PR manager a couple of times in the past of working there, but she respectfully let him down. However, after quite a number of times being asked out by him, she decided to give it a chance. She thought moving on with another man, living happily with him and the child, would bring Leon great discomfort and agony. But she still couldn’t sleep with that man, because she always reminded of the times how Leon had warned her that her body only belonged to him. Not to share her body with anyone.
She couldn’t go through with sleeping with another man, because all the memories of Leon flooded her, instantly. Grace ran away as soon as the PR manager was about to lay her down.
Grace continued to live the life of bliss with her daughter Ellie. Ellie was quite brilliant, just like her mother and father. She spoke and understood 2 languages at the age of 2. Ellie was showing her mother how to love. Ellie’s love was innocent, pure and wholesome. All the things Grace never received from anyone in her life. (In all of Grace‘s life, the people who claimed to have loved her were deceiving her or not truthful enough, Ellie’s love broke through those barriers and gave Grace the opportunity to experience unconditional love. Which was very much the most beautiful thing in the book, thus far).
Currently, on the latest chapter release, Leon grows anxious. The man wanted to hold his woman and child. However, since there was no sightings of Grace from any of his forces, for well over 2 1/2 years, Leon was broken and abandoned. Everyone wanted to talk about the most handsome, desirable, eligible bachelor in the kingdom, Leon Winston. Leon could care less about his fame. He was a deteriorating corpse who was abandoned by his owner, Grace. Not being able to find Grace and the child, whose name he still didn’t know. He had tried to use national magazines to his advantage. To make Grace jealous and enraged by announcing, him and the Grand Lady were about to get married real soon. He was like, ‘Grace, I’m about to get married to another woman, don’t you want me unhappy and miserable, while chasing after you? Come and get me. Give me a bone to chase after you.’ (Dude was literally dying to get her attention.) His tactics, however, didn’t work. Since Grace burnt the magazine newspaper as soon as she read it. (Lol) However, Grace also felt relieved in a twisted way? Because even after 2 1/2 years Leon was still obsessed enough to look for her. (Our girl was like, you can’t for get me. )
Ellie tries to help a little boy, who got lost at a department store, who speaks Norden (the second language Ellie speaks). Then, Grace and Ellie met Police forces. The police forces recognized Grace and Ellie, from the Wanted poster and reported it to Leon. Leon was beyond thrilled to finally receive the ‘bone,’ he had been longing for by his owner. It was actually beginning to be harder for Grace and Ellie to run from Leon. Since Ellie was coming of that age, where she will start going to school soon. As Grace and Ellie continued to hide from Leon, her office job at the movie premiere made it very difficult at this time.
Meanwhile, there were still some remaining forces of the rebel, trying to reform. The rebel forces placed a ticking bomb at the movie theater, where Leon was scheduled to attend.
Grace was the first person to expose the bomb’s location to the local authorities. In doing so, she had saved Leon’s life in the process.
Due to a co-worker’s injuries, Grace was forced to attend the movie premiere Leon was to attend that same night. The movie was about Leon and his ‘heroic’ act of taking out the rebel forces on Christmas Eve. The fictional, one sided movie had no mention of Grace. Who was actually the main reason the rebel forces fell in the first place.
This is where ch 201 stopped… to be continued.
