I think why you're confused with their ages bcs of some inconsistencies with the art bcs I'm confused at some point toon.
The backstory about rias and lippe is not skipped the only thing we know for now is what she said that she met rias briefly in the past but we will definitely know more.
So lippe want to spread folk songs to the kingdom bcs like on the past the temple is now gaining too much power that will cause wars and in the future and the temple also wants to erase their roots(?) it's already slowly happening so she want's to prevent it by using the power of music.
