I read something along the line, not really about poor people but I get the anger. She used harsh words so it's not excusable. But the story was so much loved before this happened. And I think it's still good even if the author said something shitty

The name of the novel "A Letter from Keanu Reeves" is taken from a song of the same name by Fiona Sit. I would recommend listening to the song once before starting the novel. The song is about how Fiona Sit writes letters to Keanu Reeves over the years even though she thinks she'll never recieve a reply. But in the second verse, it is shown that Keanu Reeves writes back. This novel is also the same. Chen Wan's unrequited love was just like that. Preserving, unwavering and determined, never hoping for something in return but eventually his Keanu Reeves does write back. This novel is also called "Reply to Keats" and Keats is the english name of Chen Wan.
