Ogura pretty much explains the Kei's situation tho, since he manifested at birth so his IBM intensity is dense and since he has been letting it out unconsciously for so long it practically became a body of its own and can last longer than any of the other Ajins. As for Tosaki (i forgot the chapter number) but before we last see him after his press conference, he was heavily injured in the stomach by Sokabe and then he eventually bled out at last moment on that bench
I'm just a few chapters in but what exactly is guiding and what do they do I'm so lost I've never read anything like this
Like esper are these powerful people but they have a flaw that's where the guide comes in and kinda recharges the esper
yeah so there are many diff types of “guides and ____” universe (could be esper, could be sentinel, could be anything rlly).
but think of a person needing guiding as a result of using their power as equivalent to needing to charge your phone bc you used it to make phone call
basically the person with power needs their recharge, in this series “guiding” is done by physical touch, the more you touch the faster you guide. so intimacy = faster guiding. but also just poking, hand holding hugging to kissing works too
so basically this is a guideverse, it's where the world is full of scary dungeons/gates that has monsters in it and the only ones who are able to fight them and close the gates are espers. Every esper has a different power they can use to fight off the gates, which classifies them into classes (from F to SS I think), but here's a catch. Everytime they use their powers, they grow closer to corruption and going rampage. The only thing that keeps them from going rampage is the guide. Guiding occurs through psychical touch like holding hands, kissing, but the most effective is having sex. So basically guides keeps espers from going insane and dying (≧∀≦)
