Ya know that magnet that opposes each other on one end? But make the other ends attract each other. That kinda represents them. They are the perfect fit on the one side because they are the opposite of each other, they are yin and yang. But on the flip side their differences make it hard for them to understand each other, they have the same goal but different methods of showing it. Both love each other but Brett shows it by sacrificing himself and doing everything alone (receiving the damage alone), Hayden shows it by trying to tell Brett that he does not need to do it alone, that he can depend on Hayden, divide the problems to make it lighter, and he too wants to protect Brett.
What a baffling quandary this is. But love is always colorful and diverse. No love story is ever the same and it’s always the greatest story ever told.
