Your friend has been put in an awful position first of all fuck the dad. You should never involve children in adult business. So when MC‘s father said no one has to know, don’t you know how upset so-and-so would be if they found out, you’re a bitch and you’re very very irresponsible and selfish. Overall, I don’t believe the MC should feel betrayed in the sense of ML not telling him that his father was cheating on his mother cause that’s just a topic that you can’t necessarily discuss however, if that was me I would for sure tell my best friend that, but you must also acknowledge just how difficult it is to tell someone devastating news in general. Like he can be upset and be angry, but I don’t believe this is something that you have to cut off a friendship for especially considering the age that they were which were like teenagers so they were very young so you can’t really expect too much honestly because of the difficult situation that it was
