i dont understand this author. if they wanted to write a character like this, why not create a main villain instead of making the ONLY real love interest a literal abuser.... because the fact that we know theyre gonna get together means that the literal abuse is going to be forgiven. IDC if its fiction, thats not an okay message to portray (unless its a psychological horror which this aint)
can BL authors stop making the love interests literal abusers and rapists only for them to be forgiven as if they didnt commit literal crimes
