I would hate it if he change his mind to suddenly love the prince romantically. He was raped, violated, literally denied to be retired just because of this twisted guy's obsession. If he can't live on peacefully, i would understand if he killed himself. Or die in anyway. Have read so much stories of victim turned lover just because they suddenly "fall in love" or give in to the rapist's feelings. Dropped.
