I remember rereading this not becoz i like the conflict that happened or because of kyujin, but because of how fucking good they made Jihyun's character to be in this series.
I hate every manipulative characters there is in bl, but Jihyun have special spot in my heart not because he's good but because of how they greatly failed this guy. Especially when you read his apology in the after-school short series.
The teacher cared for him, chiwoo's mom cared, chiwoo cared. If only his family raised him right the way he deserved love like every fucking children in the world, then he wouldn't have hurt chiwoo and have that crazy obsession with him. His character is so well made, you cannot convince me otherwise. What i feel for his character is not love, but empathy. I love this story. And i love chiwoo's decision to cut ties with jihyun in the last bit of the series
Idk how to put it into better words bit this is legit one of the best angst plot for me. Its the fact that even tho the villain got the uke, and even tho the amnesia went on, the uke still chose the seme and we got to see the villain's despair bro. (I already forgot all their names)
This is my opinion and i chose to share it so idc whether you disagree with me but fuck this.
Fargo just destroyed byul's book with how she glazed over hyesung's trauma just for byul's character. I've always simped for Dojin ever sjnce i joined the bl community but fuck no. That man deserves divorce. Cuz ATLEAST what could've happened was a deep talk of why hyesung cut her mother off or why dojin kept intouch with the grandma. I understand byul since he's ignorant of what happened in the past but still, fuck no. "When i looked at her, she looked just like you." Yeah no.
There are ppl who says it's ok for hyesung now since he's a grown adult and have now matured. Yeah that's right, that could be. But you gotta atleast agree with me that he deserves an apology. I understand what fargo wanted to do with this conflict or arc, but i think it wasn't executed nicely.
I hope hyesung and him have a fight for the next chapters because what he did is such a betrayal for hyesung. Not only he provided financial support and a home for that mother but also kept in touch with her. I'm on hyesung's side of he crashes out.
Also, let's atleast normalize cutting off toxic parents in this situation bro, his mother doesn't deserve closure, she's just freely living in peace after doing that to hyesung.
Looking at deon's behavior and character from a psychological perspective, i think that's either ptsd from the traumatic experiences or he created an alter (dissociative identity disorder) as a way to cope. Growing up he was very convinces--rightfully so because of how the family treated him--thag he's not worth anything and he doesn't deserve love. Because of that the alter he made is somehow compensating for that, as such being a strong warrior despite him being somewhat scared.
And those moments where deon 'miraculously' avoids death and he just brushes it off, i guess it's a subtle way of showing how he can't comprehend the concerns of people around him for him because of how 'used' he is with abuse and violence. I have more theories thag i can't somehow put into words.
I just realized how badly they downplayed lili's powers. If she's stronger than allen, she could've easily beat the opponents by joining the frontlines. Tho i understand the plot demands for her to be in the rear
Guys is Josh the ml? Pls tell me yes TT with the way things are going on, josh feels like a strong 2nd ml at this point. But i really want him with lili.
The only thing that keeps me from wishing they'd separate for good is the thought of sejin suffering because of the bond. Ido, redemption doesn't mean erasure of the fucked up things that you do. That's why their story feels more like a moral dilemma for me. Would you forgive a person knowing they still haven't done the horrific things they've done in the future? Or in their case, past?
What Ido had done to sejin pre-reincarnation is nothing more than a mistake. It's his choice to rape him, it's his choice to be abusive to sejin, he chose to only look at what he want to look in their alleged marriage. He's really a bitch. Cuz what do you mean he only cared after his death lol. If the reincarnation didn't happen, there's no way to redempt.
"The sounds I heard in my ears were like
harmonies you could only find underwater. If I
had to die, I wanted to drown in this ocean
named you. Death is scary. But I felt like I
wouldn't be afraid of any death if I died in your
arms."
When seungwon said that i nearly cried. How can a person love you so much that they would accept their deepest fears just to be with you.
In season 2, after he wakes up in the hospital he had this brief psychotic episode where he couldn't distinguish reality with his hallucinations from the building collapsing (past life) it got to a point where they had to sedate him cuz he was panicking so much . Also it's true he's addicted to alcohol since it's the only thing that soothes his body pain. But guys after they had a deep convo in the hospital, the seme actually helped him stop with the cigarettes (the uke suffers from addiction due to depression. Not a diagnosis but heavily implied) and i loved him for that
This plot made me so happy as a psychology graduate AHAHAHA it's like a deep dive case that you can practice diagnosing on
But i still hate byul for keeping in touch with his maternal grandma behind hyesung. Idk how to feel about this
A chapter without sex ヾ(☆▽☆) (but at what cost, i think there will be in the next chapter by how even his hands are blushing
I think I'm having a gist on how he's gonna die.. if ot aint the gun they keep on showing even in peripheral view
I just wanna complain because what the fuucckjk T.T when i read the novel A LOTT happened before the treatment happened. And during the rescuing too, but now i realized the way the manhwa is summarized made it look shit compared to novel i understand the vast difference is inevitable but yeah HAHAHA
Soooo the issue with wings started when the slave (i forgot the name) poured the healing potion over it. Since the potion is low grade, it kinda damaged the way the roots of the wings as it healed. (The wings regenerate) but since the root is damaged, therss a high risk of it defeforming. The only way to resolve it is to open the wound again and rearrange the roots, mind you anesthesia doesnt exist in this world. Sehyun made the choice to do it even if its suuuuupppeeerrrr painful because his wings is kind of a symbol in his kingdom. Basically if the people especially his vasals see that the king is flawed, they would carry the guilt and such he made the decision to hurt himself again just to grow his wings back normally.
The doctor said along the lines of "the wings should grow back as if nothing happened" as to not show weakness of something. Please correct me if I'm wrong as this was how interpreted the scene. GUYYSS T^T THE SCENE IS SO SAD. SEHYUN ALMOST DIED BECAUSE OF THE PAIN and luhak was a bit or actually traumatized because of how much blood came from the wound. Luhak was the one who did the root rearranging. (/TДT)/
Ayeon is def showing signs of psychopathic tendencies. Her character is so creepy ( ̄ε(# ̄)Σ
I honestly sympathize with why Chohee acts and thinks that way. Insecurity and trauma isn't something you could fight alone unless you have someone by your side as a great support system. What she need is therapy and a good conversation with her family. But just because you have a reason to be evil doesn't mean it's right to do so.
Her way of bullying Ahjin is alarming, if she could do that to her friend at this young age, even risking her reputation and dignity, what more when she grows up. Honestly sad, but at the same time infuriating. (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
