I also read the raws and there is so much rape, so much horrible sexual violence, and the ending does NOT make up for any of it. Do they end up together? Yes. But not only does the top rape his “love” repeatedly, but the bottom is raped over and over and over by fucking disgusting old men, the top is forced to participate, their “friend” betrays them because he’s a homophobic piece of shit, and there isn’t any healing, reconciling of the trauma, just a sudden end. And the main bad guy doesn’t even die, and the enabler gets paid. I hate this. I hate the author. Sick, twisted bastard. I hate myself for reading it. I literally feel sick. I really recommend you don’t read this if you are in any way upset by SA.

I really can’t handle the way the duke or Alicia are acting. They’re both hiding everything, then angry that the other won’t be open and honest. So stupid and hypocritical. I get really turned off by a FL who supposedly is smart, gives everyone else the benefit of a doubt, except the ML. And even more turned off my a ML who thinks lying = protecting. Helena, Adrian, Alicia, Chase - none of them are likeable to me.
