I’m not smart enough to understand what was going on most of the time honestly. So if that lady wasn’t the little pearl who the hell was she ?! Why did max lie??? I’m lost but still very sad.

>>lady margrave was a decoy. max probably hired her to throw jean off his tracks and ensure that the revolution still happens. if jean found out that max is actually little pearl, then he wouldn’t carry out the actual plan for the revolution (which is killing max in the process too). this was seen in chapters 45-46, where jean told max to get on the carriage in hopes to save him from getting killed. max needs to be killed so that jean and his rebellion can bring in a new world. why did max set himself up like that? because in chapter 49, it is implied that the system of the monarchy was already dying and a new set of power (which is democracy) needs to rise to reach “Equality”. <<

“If I were single, I’d go for you in a heartbeat” I genuinely think this is the worst part of the entire volume. I wouldn’t have minded this volume that much if he didn’t say that. Like seriously if i were yoshino & I found out he said that it’s so over lmaaoooooo. Also this story was set up as if it was enemies to lovers between niko & rou?!?? I know that wasn’t the intention but I hated that it seemed like it was a whole other story at first. And I didn't even like niko tbh… he’s telling yoshino he would never go for rou because he has a boyfriend but how are you gonna trust someone that was with a married man come on now.
Soulmate? That’s my best guess.
