Or is anyone else tired of the trope where the manhwa/manga starts in the middle of a scene, then rewinds like a week before from the beginning? I understand that it's intended to draw people in immediately, but at that point, I want to continue from where it started, and they can provide the required information as needed. I don't want to go backward and have to read 10-20 chapters just to catch up to a scene that may or may not even happen again. If you're going to throw me in the deep end, just leave me there to learn how to swim or drown. I have dropped stories, cause it was taking too long to reach what was teased at the beginning.

I've got a full ass job and other life shit. My only time to really read BL is before I go to sleep. I don't have time for these games! Not every manhwa needs to be 100+ chapters I remember in Assorted Wildness, it opens with the bottom handing by his feet and being dunked in the ocean, and if I remember correctly, that never happens when the story catches back up. Like, why even bother then?

Seriously! At that point, I don't care about their mundane life! Maybe give me, like, 2-3 chapters MAX. And I think that's why I love Brothers Without A Tomorrow so much. Their stories aren't unnecessarily long, there's no dragged-out misunderstandings, and they get straight to the point! Also, the art is amazing, of course.

My biggest problem with this is 9 out of 10 they don't do it right
Its so catching when the starting scene is NOT the most important point of the story so it kinda gives you a feel of the vibes w/o just spoiling everything in the first panel (and ofc they HAVE to loop back to it at some point bc half of the time the authors dont even bother either)

Can someone give me recs similar to "The Affairs of the Other World Depend on the Corporate Slave"? It doesn't have to be isekai, but similar vibes/dynamics between the characters? Manga or manhwa/manhua. (ideally one with an official translation or has a good translation)
Please and thanks!

Not all of then are BL tho, but they give me the same vibes

I skip flashbacks. ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄
Whether that be in manga, manhwa, book, or even fanfic form. If they are short and to the point, I don't mind, but I don't want 20+ chapters of what the characters did in a past life. I'm reading it for what it's advertised as and not some different story set in a different time period. Often times, when I get passed the flashback, I don't even have a hard time following along. It probably doesn't help that I'm usually reading with some sort of time crunch. In my eyes, excessive length flashbacks are just filler to inflate chapter numbers. Now, don't get me wrong, there are the occasional stories that I get fully invested in the flashbacks, like MDZS. Personally, I like to blame my anxiety in needing to know what happens next, only for a wild flashback to appear and stall the resolution. So if anything, any reread I do, I'm more likely to bother reading backstories. Any way, I just feel slightly alone in this mindset ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

I'm looking for a specific one that I apparently did make as "read". It's Yaoi, and the ML will agree to date anyone who asks, with conditions. One of which being that ML can continue to sleep with whoever he wants. MC, of course, asks him out, and shows little concern for these conditions. Long story short, ML wants MC to start acting more jealous and they obviously end up with a happy ending. I'm pretty sure it's complete, so if anyone knows what I'm talking about, can you please link the manga???

Personally, I can't stand them. I used to read them, but now it's an instant "no" from me. This means I haven't been able to continue Wet Sand(/TДT)/ Like, if I'm going after someone who just can't make up their mind between me and someone else, I'm not wasting my time, cause clearly, I'm not worth it to them. But that's just my opinion ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

I know this is a hot take, but I'm genuinely curious if there's anyone else who has the same/similar view as me. So, here it is: I don't care about secondary pairings in BL manga/manhwa. Like, I skip them until the main pairing returns. For me, I'm reading the manga/manwha for the main pairing, so for another couple to be thrust upon me in the middle of some drama, I don't care? I've been reading BL for over a decade and I can only think of two secondary couples that I actually prefer over the main, and those are 19 Days, and Liveta. Otherwise, I skip. I've heard people gush about the secondary couple for BJ Alex, and I did try to read their story, but couldn't. Maybe if I reread a series, I'll delve into the side pairing, but even that is rare. I'm just curious if I'm alone in this?
Does anyone else have that one T.V show that you woke up to in the middle of the night that made a lasting impression?
For me, it was Paranoia Agent (didn't know the show at the time) on Adult Swim. Still never actually watched the show, but I remember waking up at a friend's house at 3a.m, and a kid with a gold bat hit a puppy with said bent bat that got run over by a car. I still think about that scene to this day...
Hannibal OMFGG I literally was Js bored ASF on Netflix and came across it nd decided to give It a watch, binged a whole season that same night lmaoo
