what is with the rape trope in yaoi.. like uke (or seme too) gets raped and then it’s on them to forgive the other
Japanese culture and laws. Shame is rooted in the culture and rapes are almost never prosecuted so people don't bother reporting to the police. Besides that, for such a large portion of Yaoi to contain rape indicates that a significant amount of people enjoy reading it.
