For those wondering why the son and daughter in law have similarities in terms of appearance it's mostly due to the fact that Ducal families are often related to royalty (tho they don't have a sibling-type, but more of a very distant cousin relationship type). In royalty, males who do not inherit the throne would usually be granted the title of Duke. It could've been generations down the line but since royal families in this sort of genre would usually have distinguishing features it's not weird for them to share some common traits.
