The empress likes and is obsessed with the emperor. But he’s still hung up on the past and he believes that the empress is only doing that because of their contract (or whatever) and also because of her strong character. And since the rebellion’s target is the Emperor, ain’t no way she’s gonna let them have their way. I’m rooting for how their relationship will develop.
