I get the point they're trying to say, it's just about straight women being obsessed with yaoi is fetishization of mlm relationships. Similar to that of how straight men fetishize wlw relationships and porn. It does affect men irl, whether they're LGBTQ+ or not. My most prominent fictional crushes have been Percy Jackson, Danny Phantom, and Howl from Howl's Moving Castle.
