This is the type of story that you need to turn your brain off to enjoy it... But at the same time there's fucking nuances and hints that it's a deeper story than it appears to be so it's also hard to NOT shut your brain off. All I can confidently say is that they're both dumbasses, mostly the MC. The ML is a fucking psycho who pretends to be dumb but at the same time does things in the most absurd way for what!? Shits and giggles?! Both are for sure mentally unstable, especially the MC who is feeling empathetic for the ML!!!!!!
They're made for each other, neither are good people so they only have each other to look to. Man I wish the raws were further I'm dying to know if this is all set up by the ML or not.
I can't lie, the author is doing a really good job at showing how manipulators act and the way that they know how to grip onto their victims. The ML knew that the MC was only a bystander (which in my books is just as bad as doing the act but I digress). He knew that before he sniffed his clothes he had a good relationship with the MC...... But he also knew how the MC's friends acted. He knew they were good for nothing bullies.
Because I know how manipulative, conniving, cocksuckers act I bet you this is what happened (guessing): The ML was just going to go through high school cruising on by, not getting attention from anyone despite having good looks because of how he masked his presence. Because of that, people thought of him lesser than since he seemed like an easy person to pick on.... But all of a sudden the MC and him start talking? And they get along? The ML probably instantly obsessed over the MC, and he was in on it for the long haul. Sniffing his clothes deserves an ass whooping for sure... But not the bullying he received... But like the MC said this chapter, the ML would look at the MC like "you see what's happening? You have a conscience right? Feel bad for me, be upset, feel immense guilt." and eventually the big fall happened.
If I remember correctly the ML was smiling or something when he fell. Like he got the MC in his trap. He probably waited long enough for the MC to "forget" about him for a few minutes then BOOM in his life again. I wouldn't be surprised if he stalked the MC since high school. Maybe he waited for when the MC would be at his lowest, treat him kindly then boom tear him down in order to keep him by his side. He probably feels like fear and control are the only things that would keep him, as anything else is "too flimsy"
BUT THAT'S JUST MY ASSUMPTIONS. I'm just speculating, based on how I've been treated in the past by people.
I definitely thing BOTH the pacing and the pages are a little messed up, but glossing over that it's really cute. I need a story of the seductive fox baddie pronto! I needed it yesterday!

For those of you who are with manipulative people, or who meet manipulators in the future, they will do everything in their power to hold power over you. Even k-wording themselves or hurting themselves. In these situations, 90% of the time they will only hurt themselves to the point of getting sympathy, and not going through with the action.... but there's that 10% that are insane enough to want to manipulate you to the point of actually going through with it if it means you feeling guilt for the rest of your lives.
So, what do you do in that situation? If you are with someone like this, secretly record things as much as possible: video, audio, text screenshots, photos of things, etc.... ANY sort of documentation, start it INSTANTLY. BUILD IT UP. Keep it together in a secret folder that is inconspicuous, save other things to those folders and hide them so that if they try to sneak in your phone they don't see it. If you text through snap (or anything else that tells others you screenshot or save things), ask a friend if you can use their phone in order to take a photo of the texts so that they don't know you are documenting it. MAKE SURE IT'S ALL SECRET, otherwise you might be in a dangerous situation. Know the person, what is something that you like that they aren't interested in? Aesthetics, pets, cooking, recipes, working out, art, etc.... You can use screenshots and photos relating to those to mix in with the "receipts" that you are collecting.
The most important thing is: BE CAREFUL. YOUR LIFE IS IMPORTANT, YOUR MENTAL HEALTH IS IMPORTANT, YOU ARE IMPORTANT. Stay safe, you are deserving of respect and love, you are worth more than what you might have been told and believe. You got this, I believe in you. I hate how tiny the MC is and how he's underage, but at the same time this plot is so insanely good that I'm eager for more. Nobody could've guessed a cold blooded serial killer could have motherly instincts towards this kid who is begging to die. Beaten and bruised, wracking up more injuries as time goes on, he can't help but pity the MC. I'm sure that pity has slowly been turning into love as well, that's why he was so frustrated when the MC brought up "can you still kill me".

Honestly the only character who is really innocent in this whole fucking comic is Yeongwoo... Seo-In's parents are narcissistic neglectful abusive assholes and that's why Seo-In is the way he is. I had a narcissistic asshole of a grandma with a victim complex who would try to make my mom (the black sheep of the family) into this bad person and me by default because I would call her out on her bullshit. It broke the family apart and if anything made her look even more like a victim because it was more shit she could use to guilt trip people and fuel her ego.... BUT that didn't turn me into a piece of shit scum who would manipulate people and shit.
