TERRIBLE CONCEPT IF THEY END UP TOGETHER!! i want more for her, she’s just starting to love and learn for herself comfortably. this already happens in real life where men get to be there bare minimum at everything and excused for their actions because they don’t know any better. meanwhile women are expected to be perfect, emotionally intelligent, and poise for any situation no matter their age… id rather not have a story try to romanticize his failures, when at the end of the day they still hurt her feelings and what she believed would be her livelihood too. i love the journey she’s experiencing now with self love and the drive to be in a society that cherishes her as a person and not just a man’s wife. hopefully it sticks with this direction because he deserves far worse treatment from her
